Brilliant place to eat and the food is fantastic with huge portions. However the service is not at all good and the staff are rude. Apparently this is the way of German brewery eateries. Luckily we had a fluent speaker of German with us to know what was going on.

Always enjoy going to Im Fuchschen when in Dusseldorf. We visited in a Thursday afternoon whilst visting the Dusseldorf Christmas Markets. It's my favourite of the traditional Altbier brewpubs and we were able to enjoy the special Weinachts (Christmas) Bier which just a little darker, hoppier and stronger than the normal Alt. We shared a table German-style with some locals... More

We went in here ,after going in several brewpub's in Dusseldorf. The interior is just wonderful and the way the staff decked it out for Christmas was truely amazing. The beer's arrived as soon as we walked in,superb ,tasty and looking at how packed this brewpub was, very popular. The service staff are superb and very attentive, and were quick to refresh... More

If you visit Duesseldorf, either for fun or on a business trip, this place is a must on your evening schedule! Apart from representing best a typical local brewery pub and offering one of Duesseldorf's finest selfmade Alt-Bier, the charme about Fuchschen (means little fox) is that locals get together here as well as tourists. Let's be honest, that is... More

Massive portions so very good value for money. German food is served here with their own beer which I found quite pleasant- quite hoppy. Very busy the place was packed Location wise its not too far from Altstadt - bonus

We were very confused when we arrived, were unsure if you took a seat or were seated - so we found a waiter and he gave us a table. We can't read German and our waiter noticed us struggling, and brought over an English menu. Unfortunately I don't think he understands English (figure out which is the meal you want... More

Crowded and loud but that is it's charm. You will be hard pressed to find an open table so just look for an open seat. A solid tourist experience.

Lovely German Food, nothing fancy and very good value. Visited with some work colleagues and really enjoyed the experience. The place gets very busy and you may have to wait a while but is worth it. The food was well cooked, tasty and really filling, it is a heavy meal washed down with some beer similar to ale. Would definitely... More

Be hungry to go to Im Fuchschen, because the dishes are all really huge, I could hardly eat 2/3 of it, although it was very good. It is a very popular place in Dusseldorf so there is always a lot of people there cheering and drinking. The serve one of the best Altbier in town in my humble opinion. The... More
