Food, drinks, abiance, attention, price, cleanleness and cheer, made this a celebration location. Recommended by family, we were glad to meet Alexander Kampes the owner. He has provided venues for family events in the past. I must say that this place is fantastic. His staff are supurb! With both indoor and out door seating, you will love the view of... More

Always great and easy to meet meet people and create friends. If you would like to taste good typical Dusseldorf Braurei dishes and one of the best Alt beer of the city in a traditional Duesselorfer Braurei atmosphere...that's the right place!

Stopped by for one of their famous Alt beers. Located at the top of Old Town, the customers were friendly but the waiter was not. Despite this, I would return. The food looked and smelled amazing and other customers were more than friendly. One caution, do not "sit" at the rail tables just inside the front door unless you really... More

had a baked potato and salad and was stuffed for hours... altbier very good, wine comes in proper German glasses (the ones with the banded ridged stems that curve into a wide base). Décor nice, service efficient & friendly.

we visited here during the World Cup, Germany was at home and the street was packed and the bar was packed. Staff though did manage to find us a table and they were very friendly. We sat inside and it was a typical German environment and exactly what we wanted. Whilst you would not make a special journey for a... More

I live in Dusseldorf and I have been here a number of times due to its popularity, but sometimes it is great, and sometimes it is awful! The menu is limited but the food is nice tasting, but the service is usually very rude and impatient. They seem to expect you to be as quick and knowledgeable as a local.... More

We've tried a couple of beer halls in Germany, and this one is on par with the others. The in-house brewed beer is readily flowing and very good (haven't had a bad beer in Germany though). The meat is cooked very well. Excellent schnitzel!

Wow! Been traveling on a road trip through Germany for a few days now and this finally hit the spot in terms of culture and hospitality. 5 of us ordered different dishes and all were brilliant! Service was helpful, spoke English and had menus in English which was much appreciated. Thank you!

Food was great tbh, but service was extremely rude and unhelpful. They laugh at us for hesitating when choosing dishes. Non German speakers stay away.
