Great food, lots of noise

Nice beer, light on alcohol. The food is delicious, especially the pork knuckle. We were there on a Tuesday night and the place was packed and really really noisy. Make sure to have a reservation and ask to be alone on the table. Without telling us, they made us share a table with strangers - and... read more

We tried the local food and we did not regret. It is always overcrowded and so noisy, but everybody is having fun and beer. During the Boat show period you may meet friends or make new ones there.

Visiting Düsseldorf Karneval since 1994 - Fuchschen used to be part of our daily routine. However the last few years, the beefed up security staff seem to think that they are gods gift. Unfortunately their attitude has resulted in that our high spending group, has found alternative watering holes. In defence of Fuchschen, we still visit on or arrival day... More

We went here just for a drink during the Christmas markets in December and managed to get a table quickly, despite it being busy. Can't comment on the food, but the Christmas edition beer was really good. The bar area was nice and I liked the souvenit cabinet containing quite a few items with their logo on.

Came in for a beer and maybe something to eat but during carnival time the menu is limited and seating is too as they put in high tables . beer was reasonably priced and the atmosphere was good too

Jammed packed, everybody in the good mood, such great beer, menu full of mouthwatering goods, try pork leg roast or pork neck lumberjack style it's top taste rustic and intense with german salad and whole potatoes. Decorations are festival alike and the atmosphere is similar, it's not the cheapest place in Dusseldorf nor the very central one but it's worth... More

Have been here a few times and have never been dissapointed with the food and never finished a meal because the portions are so big. Strongly recommend the knuckle of pork. Lovely alt, the only bad thing about this place is staff are almost always rude.

We used to live near 'Duss' and frequented this place nearly once a month; it was superb then and still presents a spectacular schweinhaxe with good value for money. Try and find somewhere with this ethos in UK. We've been going back for the last 10 years and the food is of a consistently high standard; if not higher. It's... More
