Fantastic

Easy, casual dining at its best. The wiener schnitzel was so flavorful as were the fried potatoes with onions. The side salad also was very good. Many people were standing outside, but we were able to get a table inside for dinner. Not noisy but a feeling you are spending time with the locals... read more

I was on a business trip and, having read good things about this place, I decided to go there for a quick dinner and a couple of beers. Well, this was probably the most awful food I had in years! I had a beef dish (can't remember the name, some sort of roll): overcooked, dry and cold. It looked more... More

We had lunch here one Saturday. Great beer, atmosphere and food. We tried to order using the German menu but got ourselves into a bit of a pickle ordering Monday's dish on Saturday so our advice is ask for the English menu. We had asparagus salad and pork with red cabbage. Both really delicious. We sat on one of the... More

This is the best place in town to have a typical Düsseldorf 'Altbier'. It is one of the best/the best beer in town and the place where local people go. You can just have a beer (like I) or you can sit inside and have great traditional local food. Portions are large and good priced. Don't worry when you do... More

Traditional German beer and food in a great old fashion German restaurant. Probably the best German food I had in Düsseldorf. Tried the pork chop in the pan and it was huge. Good selection of sausages and other dishes. Will certainly come back if opportunity permits!

I was taken here by some locals and was thoroughly impressed! This place is awesome, loved the tradition tab calculating and beer serving methodology. Serves the best example of the regional altbier. Food was excellent and good value too. A must!

We came here for breakfast after reading the positive reviews on Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed! We had the scrambled eggs washed down with Alt...perfect! The place was full with locals which added to the experience and our server Martin was friendly and was happy to help us. We will definitely visit again!

Great place for traditional German fare. One of the 4-5 top Alt Beer house so you must go in and try one! Service is no-nonsense and pretty quick. Nice little place and would definitely go back for the beer!
