Myself and two friends came upon this pub whilst on a weekend in Düsseldorf. It was an early Sunday afternoon and even by twelve o'clock it was getting busy but we managed to get sat down comfortably in a cosy spot in the bar area. As soon as we sat down we were served three altbeers and they just kept... More

It was very, very, very busy when I visited due to the ongoing Medica. Though even though the place was packed we got our seat quickly. Beer was served as you may expect and the good is local. Don't expect haute cuisine here. Just a fair peace (read massive peace) of meat with mashed potato. It is the overall atmosphere... More

Located in the heart of the Old Town, this old traditional German restaurant offers all the highlight that usually so like tourists: atmosphere of old traditions, old fashioned design, mature professional waters, traditional German food and, of course, traditional German beer, locally brewed. I must say, this time local Alt Bier was the best point of this place. Professionalism of... More

I've never tried the food at this restaurant but it is such a great place to sit or stand outside and take in the German atmosphere and tradition of drinking great beers and enjoying the company of many people.

Uerige is t h e Düsseldorf beerhouse which offers a great experience: A special beer, traditional food and relaxed conversations over the beer table with professors, top models or workmen - always a nice experience!

I have been visiting Dusseldorf for over 20 years and I go to Zum Uerige every time I visit Dusseldorf. I has always been good. If you get there early in the evening or at lunchtime and be able to get the day's special, you are in for a treat!

Warm welcoming and packed for a reason, delicious beer served in small glasses but quickly refilled. A definite must do in Dusseldorf in my opinion to sit in a beer hall like this warm up and enjoy a glass or four.

A very German-type of place! Their beer is good and self made, which is amazing! I've been there to eat and also just to have a drink and both times have been nice. The service could be a little nicer and the food could be better, but definitely a must for people visiting Düsseldorf, mostly if they're not from Germany... More

There were four of us that went and stood outside and drank Alt Bier on the street on a mild October night after eating dinner elsewhere. The Alt Bier was great. The beer kept flowing and our wait staff was friendly. I would go back. Can comment on the food. Did not really see anyone eating anything.

A must visit in Düsseldorf. The place is huge but they have lots of waiters to keep your drinks full. I was there in October and they still had a bar outside at the weekend.
