This place is a must-visit for anyone visiting Dusseldorf - but be prepared it does get very, very busy, which speaks volumes of it's reputation and its Altbier. The local food available is first class and can recommed the pea soup (only available on a Saturday) - a meal in itself. No empty glasses here as they keep replenishing until... More

I visited this famous Düsseldorf landmark and was totally disappointed. There are way better alt beers than this one and the food is just plain flavorless German "fast food"

If you like beer--this place must be on your bucket list. This is the real deal. They serve a great (and surprisingly affordable) local style "Alt" beer, which is fabulous. Don't expect cuddly American-style service though. This is place for Germans to go to eat and drink beer. And it fills that role well. All-in-all, one of the best bars... More

It's the center of the longest bar on Earth and a must-go-to place if you are in town! Also home of the famous Altbier!

The best place to experience the famous German altbier and the traditional food. The atmosphere is very rustic and the beer service is very efficient :)

Came here for the Uerige's own-brewed 'Alt' beers rather than a meal. Hugely atmospheric, bustling place to chat, laugh, people-watch and quaff away. The beer is delicious. Waiters will keep bringing them until you signal no more by placing your beermat on top of your glass. Had a snack of rolls with minced meat, onion and white pepper - these... More

We go to visit friends in Dusseldorf and always go to Uerige. The beer is wonderful, service good and atmosphere brilliant. Just sit have a beer and enjoy the ambience. Snack food is good and you only need to move for the toilet.

Old and traditional bar where you also can have some snacks. But the main purpose to come here is to drink an Alt beer. Not one ore two. The more you drink the more happy you feel. Such a good athmosphere. Everybody comes here. Young and old. Local and foreign. If you search for a place where you want you... More
