A small restaurant out of the city centre in the northern part. Very friendly staff, extremely helpful and patient but the food is the main reason to go there:plenty of choice, fish, meat, poultry, vegetarian. Mild or very hot or something in between. Fresh vegetables, fresh fish, all reasonably priced.

This is an amazing restaurant. It made our evening after a long day of work. The staff was fantastic and the food was so delicious that we went there 2 times in 3 days :).

I am fond of Asian food and I like this one quite a lot. My favorite meal here is the "Lab" that consists in minced chicken/pork/beef/fish/duck (according to your choice) together with mint and other aromas, together with some sticky rice. We came into the restaurant quite late with our 2yo son, I asked for a bowl of rice for... More

normally I eat at "der Laote" when I am solo and visiting a Düsseldorf fair. This time I took my wife and she is now as enthusiastic as I am though Asian food is not her favourite. We wanted to have dinner on a Saturday evening. Reservations on the day itself can be made from 17:30, unfortunately they were book... More

Great food in a good area of town. Select mild food, you can always spice it up with the excellent range of condiments.

As a couple with relatively young kids we don't go out a lot, so when we so go out, we don't mind it being really nice ;-) in this case we were more than happy! The restaurant is in Flingern and as soon as you enter there is a buzz. The team obviously enjoys their work and is friendly and... More

For a drink, meal and half a dessert, I paid about 20 EUR. This is not cheap. I picked something called lab or lob, which is "THE" dish of Laos. This was very dry and salty and had very little vegetables and herbs inside. I think that the spice and herbs were toned down to meet the needs of the... More

They serve really tasty dishes made of high quality ingredients. Food was very tasty, just get sure that you can handle the spiciness as mittle-scharf is already pretty sharf but still OK. Also, check the opening time in advance as they are not opened the whole days. The prices are really good, especially during the lunchtime - about €7 per... More
