Great food, big servings, tiny space

Ate dinner here with friends (couple with a daughter), and everything we ordered was great -- fish soup, matjes, salad with duck (four ways), quail. Big servings, so if you are not a big eater then I would recommend sticking with just one course (appetisers are as big as the mains). You just... read more

highly recommended - simplistic, unpretentious but delicious resto. Please note they take no credit cards, and also no bank cards from outside Germany -

Wannabe= wants to be but just doesn't make it...Lot's of hustle and bustle, small tables, loud neighbours, sleepy waiter but the buzz of the place keeps one awake. Not so good for an intimate téte de téte, ok for first date, or someone else's wife, but a romantic intimate Bistro it ain't....the food however is top, no qualms there, have been... More

We went there for breakfast whilst staying in a hotel in the media harbour. The menu offers everything that the heart desires. Try it out but it is not cheap.

For many years Robert's Bistro has been one of those 'must be' places in Düsseldorf's Media Harbour area. Although the food is undoubtably good, it is busy, crowded, loud and expensive too. So know what you are letting yourself in for when you decide to go there in the evenings. Lunch time seems to be a good time to enjoy... More

I really don't get it why this place is so famous, I mean food is good but you can barely hear yourself, you sit shoulder to shoulder and waiters run like nuts up and down, hardly paying attention to customers. Wont be back soon

had a late dinner there one night and it was very crowded with only place to sit was the bar. Had a plate of 4 different types of grilled fresh fish which was good. Still cant get them to minimize oil, fat, butter, and what not-A great piece of fish should stand on its own but in Germany its cream... More

We went for a lunch in Roberts Bistro. Nice place to sit down and relax, have a coffee or enjoy lunch/dinner in a not-so-cheap neighbourhood. Good was tasteful and good service but don't expect to pay less than 10 euro!!

It would be a great coincidence if one walked into this place by chance, since it is off the beaten (tourist) path. A local friend took us here and it is very much worth the visit. Great variety of very special and unusual dishes - liver, different duck dishes, great aioli with some dishes, etc. They do NOT make reservations... More
