Amazing fish place in downtown Dusseldorf

Located far from the North Sea and in one of the touristic streets of Dusseldorf, Fischhaus is an extraordinary place. Atmosphere is good and food is great. We used the complimentary crispy bread as a starter. All main course dishes were fresh and cooked well. The monk fish can be... read more

A nice spot with al fresco dining in Old Town, not far off the river. Interesting combinations of fish and traditional German cooking. I had Haddock with steamed potatoes and a mustard/dill sauce. I would have like it more if the fish hadn't been bone-in. I spent most of my meal pulling the bones out of my mouth.

Great place for cooked to rider cheap but good fish on the market right across from the Carat Hotel. You order, they cook, and you stand and eat. Good potatoes ans spinach added to the great taste and value. ZB

A perfect meal, from the first course to the coffee at the end of a wonderful dining experience. Ask the staff for their suggestions.

We heard a lot of good things about this place so we decided to give it a try. BIG MISTAKE. My husband ordered the dorado dish, which is suppose to be the most popular one, it wasn't good at all. I ordered the halibut, it was extremely dry and chewy. Neither of us finished our plates, the fish was below... More

Great expectations, regretfully not met. Service with a smile was not included. We chose from the suggestions of the day. Not bad but no to be overrated. Overall average fish restaurant. Could be that living in Ostend I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to eating fish but whatever, the weather was pleasant. The overcrowded terrace you have to endure... More

This used to be my favourite place in Duesseldorf, I loved the food and the ambience. After a bad experience (which was made worse by the: I - could - not - care - less attitude of the head waiter waiter) I decided to stay away. I have since then been back a couple of times for lunch, the last... More

Very crowded, that waiters keep knocking and bumping into your chair and table without apologizing or maybe even noticing! Too loud diners! And when the food came, big disappointment, the soup was too salty, and some fish in the mixed fish plate had some funny smell and taste! I wanted to ask them to take this rotten fish and bring... Unhappy food, slow service. Overrun with Russia tourist shouting loudly. I was dining here and wished I had not. The Bouillabaisse was mostly potatoes and arrived on a very unappetizing plate. It took 20 min to order. Looking around mostly tourists here eating overpriced and badly presented seafood. Avoid.
