The brewery might be a bit out of the old center of Dusseldorf, it payed off to take the walk an visit the place. Nice and stylish Brauhaus with everything you might expect. Not spectacular, just good. Just annoying that in Germany the use of credit cards is only accepted in case your willing to pay extra. Besides that the... More

This is one of five brew houses in dusseldorf and I can say is the best for taste and service. We had food there the pork knuckle and it was just great massive portion and cheap also.

Headed there during a trip to Dusseldorf and wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere was great and lots of people enjoying themselves with a great feel to the place. We had a meat platter for two as recommend by one of the waiters due to no english menu being availbale. A huge selection of meat with mashed potato and sauerkraut was delivered,... More

Locals recommended this place and they were right. very good, 'authentic' german food, had the ham leg, meat very flavourful and fell off the bone, waiters are very efficient and can be grumpy (part of the fun). Get past the front door and the rooms are filled with locals and travelers having fun. go and go again... and very reasonably... More

I have been to this place several times and its always been excellent. Last visit was in August. Big dining room often full of locals. You can normally sit where you want and the booths at the rear are good for people watching. The waiters are a bit grumpy, but if you are nice to them they are are transformed!... More

Visited on a Friday night. Walked in the main entrance to chaos and anonymity. Fortunately we walked into the dining room on the right and found a place to sit at the end of a table. Service was great, the beer brewed on site was very good and the food delicious. Opted for the pork hock which was cooked to... More

I went here on Thursday. There is only one kind of beer and a lot of meat options on the menu. It was friendly, the portions were ridiculously large. I had the 6 types of sausages and mash! Fun for a night, being a tourist. But there were a lot of German people in there as well!

Huge pieces of meat, huge pints of beer (only one type, the one brewed on the spot (?), too sweet to my taste but it seems to be artisanal. The vegetarian dish I chose was all right but the (elderly) waiter was all but friendly at first. We heard him urge two young Japanese boys to tip. According to me,... More

This place was one of the highlights of my Dusseldorf visit. Great atmosphere, friendly service and best of all lots of good German food. This is a place to go to with friends or solo. They treat you like one of their own. The beer is super. Everyone is welcome and it is a real treat.

The best Alt bier! I loved the great atmosphere! Inside and out. The beer was very tasty and cold. I had an appetizer of the frikadelle (meatball) and it was delicious! My wife had the vegetarian seasonal which was like a bean stew with veggies. She loved it. If someone asked me " what düsseldorf restaurant should I go to?",... More
