Huge pieces of meat, huge pints of beer (only one type, the one brewed on the spot (?), too sweet to my taste but it seems to be artisanal. The vegetarian dish I chose was all right but the (elderly) waiter was all but friendly at first. We heard him urge two young Japanese boys to tip. According to me,... More

This place was one of the highlights of my Dusseldorf visit. Great atmosphere, friendly service and best of all lots of good German food. This is a place to go to with friends or solo. They treat you like one of their own. The beer is super. Everyone is welcome and it is a real treat.

The best Alt bier! I loved the great atmosphere! Inside and out. The beer was very tasty and cold. I had an appetizer of the frikadelle (meatball) and it was delicious! My wife had the vegetarian seasonal which was like a bean stew with veggies. She loved it. If someone asked me " what düsseldorf restaurant should I go to?",... More

the place is very well mantained, and the meals really good. I enjoyed the famous pork axe and i suggest it to everyone. Also the sausages mix is worth a chance. the price is not high and i think everyone needs to go and visit it!

Old fashioned brauerei type restaurant, very Germanic, nice atmosphere. Parking is awkward. The schweinehaxe and the mixed meat plates are really good with sauerkraut and potato puree. They sell predominantly alt bier, no pils or weissen. Service fluctuates, really depends on which waiter you get. Some are really good, some are to be really avoided. I would go there again.

Walked in and sat down in what looked like a bier hall in Munich. A member of staff asked if we had seen the bier garden and said it was nice and sunny outside. Great recommendation, tables and benches in the sun and shade. Bier and food great. Fantastic service. English speaking staff. Highly recommend and would return. (Reasonably quiet... More

Enjoyed some great house brewed beer here! The waiter is coming every few minutes with freshly tapped beer in 0,2l glasses so that you can continue enjoying cold beer. I did not eat here, but the pork shank looked very tasty! Next time, I will definately try out the food! It's always packed with locals and great to start or... More
