Ok food but could use some cleanup

It's obvious that culinairy etiquette is not one of Germany's strong points. We were asked what we wanted to eat first and then what we wanted to drink. We are used to have it the other way arround. We were also the first to order but two other couples got their entree before us. We had to wait 30... read more

Over and over again we do go to Vini Divini with this great atmosphere. We do love to sit outside when the weather is fine. We stay just around the corner at the IC Dusseldorf and this is just the Pearl you can find in this neighbourhood to have a delicious dinner. Not in the least to mention our favourite... More

I arrived on my own at lunchtime without a booking, because I was walking by and it looked a nice place. It was virtually full, but the kind and attentive staff seated me at a table for 8 that I shared with 5 others who didn't mind. The open courtyard is small, but charming and the bare brick walls inside... More

When you've had your fill of schnitzel and other heavy German dishes, Vini Divini is a great choice for an excellent meal. This is a small, cozy restaurant with a somewhat limited menu, but provides great value. We dropped in on a rainy Thursday evening looking for a lighter option. We both chose a white fish filet in a white... More

Vini Divini is one of my favourites which has been recommended to my by a close friend when I still lived in DUS. Now after many years I moved away from DUS it is still on my "must do" list for each of my regular trips to the city. The main menu is simple and therefore the food is always... More

The concierge in our hotel recommended Vini Divini and it was everything he told us. It was a slow weeknight and the lady who owns the restaurant made us feel like old friends. We had such a pleasant conversation about the beginnings of the restaurant and she went out of her way to provide first class service. There were 4... More

If your looking for good Italian food, large portions, cosy atmosphere and reasonable cost don't go any further. We had just off the plane from Perth Australia and wanted a fuss free casual night and this restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel where we were staying. They were more than happy to mix and match dishes and explain... More

Just because one of the Italian restaurants was closed, I remembered this restaurant in the Bastionstrasse which I passed by on one of my strolls through this area. Lucky I went to have dinner over there. They have also some space in there little courtyeard. It was nice weather so we sat outside and later on the long evening inside.... More

A very comfortable setting where we shared a large table with colleagues and received warm, attentive service. The food was satisfying with generous quantities - we began with a mixed antipasto which was normal, but nothing special followed by an enjoyable dish of tagliatelli divini which was somewhat unique but very tasty. Wine service was excellent with our server keen... More

I just loved the place.. right from the time we entered this place. It felt so warm and cozy. Our table was right next to the cooking counter. In any other restaurant I would have hated that... But it was so much fun! The Italian chef was cooking and cracking jokes at the same time! The service was a bit... More
