Located near the cathedral and with an impressive exterior, it suggests a very welcome atmosphere but sadly, that is all it is-a suggestion. The service once we were seated was unavailable. The tea was tasteless. We waited forever for our cakes and they were very good but overpriced. No value for money. No atmosphere. No friendly welcome. Merely a very... More

This place is the best patisserie/cafe you will find in Cologne. The stuff was extremly helpful(especially the ladies (Fr. Gaal)in the cake-counter department. The qualiyt and flavours are extremly versatile and best service we had in a café.I recommend everyone to try the Baumkuchenringe with a nice little black coffee. If you choose to sit in the teras, you will have the best... Unfortunatly we arrived in Cologne unwittingly during a major carnival (Shrove Thursday) when the city goes mad and becomes very unpleasant. Having killed an hour in the magnificent cathedral we sought another place of refuge. TripAdvisor served us well as we used it to find Café Reichard. This is a restaurant/cafe/patisserie whose excellent staff serve the most divine food in... More

Food is very good. The place is too. It is located near the Cathedral (Dome) and it is a very recommended place to have dessert. Their cakes are well sized and delicious. Kitchen closed @7:30 pm so if you want to enjoy there you have to go early. This is a disappointment when you are for business and finish late... More

Visited Cafe Reichard in Cologne several times. A place one would not like to miss, especially if one has a sweet tooth. The cakes, a wide variety of them, all look inviting to eat but come at a price around 4,40 euro per piece. Cakes are delicous. Visited here a couple of times and noticed that waitresses have been unfriendly... More

Cafe Reichard is a place in Cologne, which you shouldn't miss. On the door I read that it was established, 1855 year. It is a a long tradition, and probably if it wasn't so good that it wouldn't have worked up to nowadays. The ambiance, atmosphere and cakes are perfect. Visit the place!

I think this review will be a little different from norm. We were in Cologne for only a day and it just happened to be the first day of Karnival! We really wanted to try Cologne's famous beers! Problem was that the lines at all the beer gardens/ brew houses were extremely long (and not moving). Cafe Reichard is about... More

This beautiful cake shop with a stunning view over the Catherdral has to be tried. The selection of cakes is second to none, and the service is good too with the waitresses running round like headless chickens to make sure everyone is served. The black forest gateau slice is huge and i can recommend the hot chocolate too. Food and... More

I went here after it was recommended to me and did enjoy my visit, though it wasn't perfect. I get the impression this is THE cafe to visit in Cologne and with its stunning counter full of gateaux and relaxed yet traditional tearoom it was exactly as I'd imagined. A pot of green tea was pretty price at 6€50. I... More

The cafe we used to like in Cologne closed a few years back, so we needed to find somewhere for a selection of nice cakes, and this place certainly fits the bill. There are so many at the counter that you could stand for ages unable to decide. I'm told the chocolate cream cake is very nice, but for me... More
