Crowded cafe opposite to the Dom

A very crowded cafe/restaurant. The menu is pricey especially when you only get in for a cup of tea or coffee. But we found apple strudel on the menu which turned out delicious. Since it is opposite of the Dom, the crowd is a mix of locals and tourists. the exclusive sanitair is an attraction by... read more

I enjoyed my lunch there yesterday, the view was amazing when you sit outside. Food was delicious and also the cake afterwards was very good and you had a lot of different choices !

Fabulous as always. The service was a little slow though as we were sat outside and it was very hot, otherwise excellent. The cakes are wonderful and I would highly recommend the salad bar too. A wonderful place in which to spend a couple of hours...

This place is expensive simply because it's facing the Dom Cathedral. Wine is bad quality, beer is not fresh... poor flammekueche... Better look for another option !

I stopped here while walking through Cologne. It looks pricey from the outside, but was pleasantly surprised when I looked at the menu. I had the tomato soup and salad bar. The food was very fresh and delicious, and the waitstaff could not have been nicer. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a relaxing lunch with friends.

Yes, this is a touristy kind of place, but there were also lots of locals dining al fresco in the beautiful June sunshine. The location, right in front of the magnificent cathedral, is difficult to beat and the food was delicious, if just a little pricey. I had the apfelpfannkuchen (apple pancake) and a cappuccino. Both were delicious. The place... More

Fortunately we called at this café on our first day, so we will have plenty of opportunities to call back. The apfel strudel was delicious with gorgeous custard and the cherry cake was equally good. Highly recommended and not too expensive.

Summer day, garden terrace, espresso machiato in your hand and before you there is the magnificent Cologne Cathedral. Is is really powerful view and it makes the coffee really special. (and the toilets are good attraction for just 0,50 EUR :D)

This is THE best cafe in town. Up there with the best destinations in the world. The history, the sophistication....and the prices! So cheap when you compare this to the equivalent cafe's in Paris, London etc - no comparison!! Come here and you won't regret it!
