Small restaurant, so small room that you can not have pleasent meal if anybody is speking on table next to you. In michelin star restaurant I expect some WOW dishes, what I received was poor or avarage. I taken 7 course tasting menu : - foie gras with chockolade was very good quality but don't need any additions like chockolade... More

Sent main course out as it was cold. Got it back where the duck meat had been microwaved, it was not pink, but gray and rubbery. Then we sent the food back once more and 30 minutes later got an ok plate back. Got no excuse ... Definitely not Michellin star worthy.

This is my second time to visit a michelin one star restaurant, compared to my first time in Lyon, I have to say I prefer to have a dinner in relaxing ambience. The food is delicious actually, but I didn't expect to have a foie gras as a cold dish. But overall, I think it is a restaurant which is... More

Attractive dining room serving excellent French cuisine with creativity; the best we've eaten outside of France! A variety of menus and a la cartes with a wide selection of wines. The service was flawless. It was a very memorable dining experience! Definitely worth a trip!

We stopped here for lunch on a Sat. Their 2 course menu was only for weekdays. We also had our 2 kids with us 13 & 10. The meal lasted over 2 hours. Don't take kids unless they are used to exotic tastes - truffles, wild mushrooms, pigeon, the routine was veal or sole on couscous. Lots of little specials... More

I had a wonderful dining experience at La Poêle d'or. Very happy with the meals, which which boast unusual and innovative combinations. The restaurant was awarded a Michelin-star recently, so it should speak for itself. In particular, I would like to highlight and compliment the wonderful and highly professional staff. This high level of expertise and experience cannot be taken... More

French cuisine at its best and, up to me, one of the best restaurants in Cologne. Very calm, stylish and authentic ambiance. Intense flavor harmony and creative surprises in the menu. Very large selection of wines with a focus on French, but also a very nice German selection. E.g. the somewhat older dry Rieslings are better than most French one’s.... More

Made a reservation, even though it was not the first choice of a restaurant in Cologne, however others were already full. The main doubt was the ambience in the restaurant, as wasn't able to find good pictures on the internet. From available material interior seemed slightly outdated, but wasnt sure. Went anyway, and was pleasantly surprised, the atmosphere was not... More

had the good fortune to be taken to the restaurant as part of a large group during a trade show in Cologne. I can only describe the meal as one of the best prepared/most refined dinners that I have ever had. The quality of the food, service and presentation were exceptional. Located a short walk from the central train station... More

Visiting La Poêle d'Or was an absolute perfection to our 4-person trip to Rhine Valley cities. Service was superb, even when our mixed group was too agitated to start lunch in best possible mood. Everything which was served gave impression of perfection both in taste and in (sometimes playful) appearance. My brother and mother found veal as main course to... More
