As a German visiting cologne for the second time I was looking for a traditional place to eat. The staff was friendly and our dinner arrived in under 15 minutes. You should try HIMMEL UND ÄAD MIT FLÖNZ, It sounds barbaric but tastes amazing.

Nice and good. The négative point is that we dont drink sparkling water and they didnt want to serve us tap water.... In spite of that the food was very Nice. Not the best I tasted but still Nice with generous plate

"Brauhaus Pütz" is not located close to the "Kölner Dom" (Cologne Cathedral),the "Alter Markt" (Old Market) or the River Rhine Promenade, areas usually flooded with tourists."Brauhaus Pütz" is close to the "Rudolfplatz" and a section of the ring road, that circles the city core, called "Habsburgerring".Hidden away in a side street (Engelbertstraße 67),this Pub seems to cater more to the locals, with a few... I read the reviews and headed for Rudolfsplatz on a recent Monday evening. Reasonably busy, I was quickly found a table and a beer was in front of me in very quick time. I ordered a schnitzel which was very good in both quality and quantity. Staff were both efficient and friendly and the pricing was very good. A good... More

I found this place on Tripadvisor and was curious about it, and I'm very satisfied now (and full) :) The owner/headwaiter is very friendly and multilingual, and the food I had (pork Schnitzel with white asparagus and Hollandaise sauce) was delicious, accompanied by a few glasses of Kölsch. It's also easy to reach, so I can only recommend it.

The food was great! Sausages, kraut and mashed potatoes. The beer is good, and like most in Koln comes in frequent 0.2L servings. The atmosphere was fun, and the service was friendly. I would certainly return!

Coming to this place is a must if you ever find yourself in Köln. The food is typical and delicious, the staff is nice, the prices are very fair, and the ambiance is lively. We tried the sausages, the schnitzel, the salad, the desserts and the beers and where not disappointed at all; good quantities, good taste, and good price,... More

We visited Brauhaus Putz twice during our stay. We noticed Brauhaus Putz had good reviews on trip advisor so decided to giveeat there, and we are very glad we did! Food was delicious, portions were enormous and very well priced! Atmosphere was warm and welcoming with a very German feel. Will definitely visit again on our next trip to Cologne... More

The service is very unfriendly, even refused to offer the password of the wifi. We will never recommend this one and never come again.

Thought I'd give this a try on a recent trip to Cologne, it looked right up my alley with phrases such as great hearty food and gastropub, I'm not quite convinced. Having read the reviews I expected a somewhat warmer welcome, but then it was just me so perhaps I'm not really a tip heavy target audience. After wandering around... More
