My partner and I patronized this pub after checking the reviews on TripAdvisor. We arrived at 2pm on a weekday and this place was completely empty of customers. We hesitated but relied on the said reviews. We order a mixed fruit and vegetables salad and a smoked pork loin. The salad was good and refreshing. The pork loin was too... More

Absolutely lovely place. We went here for dinner after reading other trip advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. Very friendly staff that spoke English, delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. And only 30 seconds from our hotel, Barcelo city hotel.

A very good traditional German restaurant, recommended by locals. Service is fast, food looks and also tastes well - just a couple of steps from a wonderful Christmas market.

Very close to the Barcelo City Center where we stayed we visited this pub one night for some beers and steaks and really enjoyed the experience. It's not what many would call a sit down restaurant experience but the food and the service were spot on.

I'm originally from Cologne and I usually take my friends here to experience the regional cuisine. Luckily, this restaurant serves Mühlen Kölsch, one of my favorite Kölsch beers. My (American, Italian, ...) friends loved it here!

Great location, huge, you can sit either in a corner/corridor table for more privacy or in one of the big halls where everybody sees everybody else. Waiters are friendly and efficient. Food is great, and prices are very reasonable; ambience is unique. Highly recommended.

I have been here several times. Not for the food but for the Kölch. I bit more malty kölsh than other places. Same bartender for 12 years. Great place to go with your friends. No tourist.

After eating at a few Asian restaurants in Cologne we were keen for a German meal and this place did not disappoint. The food is well priced and the servings are quite large. What makes this place fantastic is the atmosphere. There appeared to be very few tourists and it felt quite authentic. The wait for food was quite long... More

We stopped into this place while travelling from Munster to the Black Forrest. It was worth the stop as the food was lovely. The only complaint, most mains were 12 Euro's, but the the schnitznell, which most people have was 22
