In our two week trip throughout western Germany, we've had really good luck with restaurants. And then tonight, we had a miss. Came here because another restaurant was booked. Called and they said if we came right away, they could seat us, which did not occur. As soon as we got there, the waiter didn't acknowledge us for awhile and... More

The title says it all. Atmosphere is good, waiter gave us very warm welcome and patience in introducing the food as we are tourists who don't speak German . Kudos to the other people working there too. The goose leg is very delicious and very filling too. All in all it was a great dinner for me and my friends

My fiancé and I went here tonight and it was delicious! I had the schnitzel with the peppercorn sauce (#31) the balls of pepper I took off (personal preference) but it was delicious! The chips were honestly the best chips I have ever had! EVER. My fiancé had #29 and he really enjoyed it to. The chips he put mayo... More

My partner and I patronized this pub after checking the reviews on TripAdvisor. We arrived at 2pm on a weekday and this place was completely empty of customers. We hesitated but relied on the said reviews. We order a mixed fruit and vegetables salad and a smoked pork loin. The salad was good and refreshing. The pork loin was too... More

Absolutely lovely place. We went here for dinner after reading other trip advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. Very friendly staff that spoke English, delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. And only 30 seconds from our hotel, Barcelo city hotel.

A very good traditional German restaurant, recommended by locals. Service is fast, food looks and also tastes well - just a couple of steps from a wonderful Christmas market.

Very close to the Barcelo City Center where we stayed we visited this pub one night for some beers and steaks and really enjoyed the experience. It's not what many would call a sit down restaurant experience but the food and the service were spot on.

I'm originally from Cologne and I usually take my friends here to experience the regional cuisine. Luckily, this restaurant serves Mühlen Kölsch, one of my favorite Kölsch beers. My (American, Italian, ...) friends loved it here!

Great location, huge, you can sit either in a corner/corridor table for more privacy or in one of the big halls where everybody sees everybody else. Waiters are friendly and efficient. Food is great, and prices are very reasonable; ambience is unique. Highly recommended.
