BEST SCHNITZELS

Love the schnitzels at Bei Omma!!! The sauces complement the meat really well & the portions are HUGE. A must try in Cologne but be prepared to wait for a seat at peak hours!

What a wonderful restaurant! Be sure to book though - it was fully booked for days ahead, but the lovely staff made sure we got a standby, time-limited table. Such a great atmosphere and a great old building. The schnitzels are monstrous! Like a Man versus Food challenge. But they are so tasty that I managed to finish it all.... More

Went to this restaurant due to its history, the schnitzels are enormous and you need a big appetite to finish one. It is what I assume to be a traditional German restaurant bar worth a visit for the experience.

Fresh of the plane from London, first meal in Germany, could really only be one thing.... Schnitzel. The portions here are giant! Food is tasty, fresh, reasonable priced and very authentic. The restaurant and bar was very accommodating with a great atmosphere. Definitely would recommend to anyone on a similar schnitzel quest.

Visited after reading the reviews and this place well lived up to expectations. Warm and friendly welcome and staff helpful and attentive. It was super busy and we were lucky to get a table. Food was delicious. Huge portions..kinder schnitzel well large enough for an adult although doesn't come with any sauce options on the menu although my guess is... More

Went to this little gem looking for an authentic local experience. Got that and much more. The staff was excellent and the food did not disappoint. The schnitzel was excellent but don't miss the spatzle. Ate there twice in four days....should have eaten there all four.

We went after reading the reviews and it lived up to good reviews. The Schnitzel was excellent and twice the size of any other we had in Germany. I am sorry to say we ran out of time on our visit to Cologne to go a second time. Not only was the food very good , the service was the... More

On one of the rare rainy days in may we went here under the advice of a kind local. crowded and full if character, with genuine and efficient staff, the atmosphere was traditional and joyous. the schnitzel arrived with a triumphant gasp from my fellow dinners. potions aplenty and sauce to accompany, we were entering schnitzel comfort food heaven. A... More

More of a bar than a restaurant. But don't let that scare you! The most awesome schnitzel in Cologne! Huge servings! Couldn't be better. The Koelsch beer was good too. A wonderful place!
