Made a reservation via the internet two weeks before we arrived. Out table was waiting with a reserved sign. Did not look like others made reservations, but it is a good idea. Menus were available in English, but the wait staff all spoke English. Go for the Vienna Schnitzel. It is served with salad, lemon wedge and choice of potato... More

Being used to tiny, dry schnitzels in our home country, we always try to have the best, biggest, tastiest schnitzel there is. Vienna is good for Wiener, but Germany has the best regular schnitzel. After 10 years of searching the schnitzels at Oma Kleinmann remain unmatched. That certainly applies to size (you can eat 2 with 3 persons), but also... More

Amazing! It is everything all the other reviews say. Excellent service, huge helpings, very friendly, reasonably priced. A must if you go to Koln. Easy to find on Zulpicher Strasse near Barbarossaplatz

Enjoyed my previous visit so much, this time I brought the whole family! Short tram ride from the centre of town and is well worth the trip. Doesn't look special from the outside and can be very busy. If there are no tables free when you arrive, just wait at the bar and enjoy a Kölsch or two. It's worth... More

Situated on a main street about 15 minutes by tram outside of the downtown area. Busy student neighborhood, so dress is casual, as is the restaurant. Open only for dinner, but closed on Monday night, and with a website that is mostly in German and, so, doesn't allow English readers to easily make reservations which are needed. To mitigate, we... Eating at Bei Oma Kleinmann has become a wunderbar tradition when we visit Cologne during GDC/Gamescom. There is nothing more geil than these schnitzels. They're literally bigger than your face. They're like oversized face huggers from Alien with potatoes hidden beneath them. There is a wide range of customization options when ordering your schnitzels. But it doesn't really matter what... Don't be put off by the area or external appearance of this schnitzel specialist restaurant. We were so disconcerted by the graffiti ridden walls outside we nearly cancelled the reservation made from the UK....looks like a cast off from the Berlin Wall. The food is to die for and the service outstanding. You have one app

Typical german restaurant, certainly interesting to visit once because of its atmosphere, variety of schnitzel and incredibly huge portions, but at the end of the day it is just a breaded piece of meat which did not thrill me that much.

LOVED my first ever schnitzel here. The portions are HUGE! This place has a great atmosphere, the food in itself gets you talking. I had a great time here with family and friends, it's a brilliant place to start a night out. Tasty and cool, this is a small, trendy place to visit. It's a MUST when in Cologne.
