Typical german restaurant, certainly interesting to visit once because of its atmosphere, variety of schnitzel and incredibly huge portions, but at the end of the day it is just a breaded piece of meat which did not thrill me that much.

LOVED my first ever schnitzel here. The portions are HUGE! This place has a great atmosphere, the food in itself gets you talking. I had a great time here with family and friends, it's a brilliant place to start a night out. Tasty and cool, this is a small, trendy place to visit. It's a MUST when in Cologne.

Decided to seek out Oma Kleinmann's after seeing other reviews. Didn't book but was ok getting a table. Ended up with some locals sharing which was nice. Probably the best - and biggest - schnitzel I've had. Large variety, freshly made (clearly not bought-in) and, depending on the variant, served with Bratkartoffeln, fries or Spätzle. There is either veal or... More

there are a lot of local people around. It is busy but not super crowded. Schnitzels are huge. I really mean it. we were four and ordered one for each, and left almost two there. what a waste. but the taste was really good.

If you are a meat eater and looking to blend into one of the local guys. This is the place to go. Bei Oma Kleinmann is one of the places you can sure to have a good piece of Schnitzel. It is not exactly a posh place for dinner but I guess the graffiti at the entrance adds the local... More

Went to this restaurant with an American and a South Korean to have them taste the Schnitzel and they really liked it. The Schnitzels are HUGE - most likely more than you'll be able to eat, but they will box it for you. I had the "Oma Vero", which cost 14,- € and which was said to come with a... More

Great tender schnitzels with doggy bag option if you do not manage. Meat from eco-produced "happy animals" is a definite plus! This is a must go if you are in Cologne!

I was thoroughly impressed by this place. The schnitzel was bigger than my head (and I have quite the big head), and the taste was very enjoyable as well. This place proves that both quality and quantity can co-exist. I would fly back from Canada to Germany to have this again, and the staff members were very friendly (and good... More

Place looked a little rundown, but once you wen inside ... completely different story. The staff was more than welcoming. The food was absolutely phenomenal and perhaps, the biggest schnitzel I have seen, ever. The waiter was attentive, helpful and expedient. We got shots on the house at the end of the meal - awesome! Overall, a great dining experience.... More

Don't be fooled by the graffitied exterior of this bar restaurant which is in a slightly less salubrious part of Cologne. Once inside, if you can get a table, the welcome is excellent and the food incredible. The schnitzel is beautifully done and probably the biggest anywhere in the city. You won't get better for the price, which starts at... More
