Overpriced, average food, an imbis could do as well (or better). Staff were brusque so tip was zero. Go there again? No! Plenty of other places to chose from.

We were looking for a decent place to eat because we didn't know much about Cologne. It was easy to find because of the location. Nice food but the service was not as good as the meals IMO. I'd recommend if you want to have a casual and relaxing meal while looking at people passingby.

We arrived here after a heavy thunder storm but were able to sit outside-the waiters were busy making sure the tables and cushions were all dry. The restaurant was busy as it seemed popular with the delegates from the Games Com. Our sons really enjoyed the pizzas and I enjoyed the potatoes and mushroom sauce with my schnitzel. Waiters were... Stopped for dinner with some partners. Good German food with an ok price, but nothing more. Pretty standard so nothing that will suprise you. OK price. Plus for the great view over the river Rhen.

I have been eating here for 30 years or more during my visits to Cologne. The Pizzas are fantastic particularly the Vesuvious which comes with chilli and is extremely hot. A very popular restaurant with good service and good food and if the weather is nice great to sit outside under the canopies.

The restaurant was very near our hotel and did not disappoint. A large tourist party occupied most of the inside seating but we were soon found a quiet table by a window. The service was prompt and accurate; the food (schnitzels, meatballs and pizza) was very decent; the kolsch was cold and the bill perfectly reasonable. We didn't return simply... More

This is a very popular and busy restaurant situated in an ideal location next to the river and in the old town. We were both very pleased with our meals although we found the dishes to be rather expensive but this is the case in Cologne in general. Very enjoyable and tasty.

What a great restaurant! We were welcomed to our table (outside) having scouted the menus earlier in the day. We both ordered Kolsch to start with which were brought to us very quickly. It was a lovely warm night which is unusual apparently for the time of year, it was 22 degrees! So it was nice to people watch, and... More

As a solo diner on a Saturday night I couldn't get into any recommended restaurant. I arrived at the Lowenbrau Restaurant which is right in the centre of touristville in the Altstatdt. There was a huge terrace by the river but I sat inside in a very pretty room with walls covered in a mish mash of pictures interspersed with... More

In Cologne for a business conference I had arrived relatively late and in need of sustaining and well prepared food without going over the top in quality or price. With three colleagues I ended up settling on Lowenbrau near the Rhine. We all had a variety of needs (I was not that hungry some of my colleagues were). So the... More
