It seemed to be a hype in the web around this place, but it wasn't too special. nice bakery, average breakfast.

Fantastic breakfast selection with insanely good bread! Great atmosphere, location and service. I'd return overnight just to brunch here and see the Koelner Dom again - one of my Germany keepers!!

Breads, cheeses, meats, croissants, muesli, yogurt....all in a great looking place with open views into the bakers who were busy making more bread! We spent an hour over breakfast here and loved it...just go!

This was one of the best breakfasts I've had in Europe. We kind of stumbled upon it, and we are really glad we did. We were really lucky to get a table on a Sunday morning, so calling ahead is the norm apparently, when we walked in there were reserved signs on a lot of tables. The bakery for a... More

Based on the good advise from contributors of Tripadvisor, I went to have my breakfast here. It was on Sunday morning, at 08:30, end of march 2014. There were not too many people, and I had the feeling that I was the only non-local. They indeed had an English menu. I took the standard breakfast (2 slices of good bread,... More

Are you clamoring for a tasteful, fresh breakfast (fruhstuck - pronounced fru-schtuck in German) that won't break your euro's budget down to nothing in a hurry? Then you should try Bastian's. The service was nice early on a Sunday morning at opening at 08:00. Even they made me wait 8 mins. later, when they were ready. I'll bet as the... More

We came here on our first morning for breakfast in Cologne and we loved it so much we went back the second day. The breads and pastries are all amazing! Staff were also very friendly and gave us an English menu. Because we were travellers they gave us a couple of free bread rolls as we left. The cheesecake servings... More
