Visited for dinner after spending the day around the Christmas markets. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived with the queue heading out of the door. We managed to get a table within a few minutes as there was only myself and my hubby dining, whilst the rest of the people waiting were with large groups. We both opted... More

They were very busy but we were given a nice table and service was quite quick. We had the salmon and rice and a Wiener Schnitzel plus salad bar, and with drinks it cost €46, which was great value.

I didn't detect an Argentinian feel, just a well lit, nicely laid out standard chain steakhouse, which is not to criticise it at all. Same menu as always, good steak but this time the efficient (rushed) waitress did not ask how I wanted it cooked, assuming medium. That was ok, but I prefer medium well, which makes for a slightly... The restaurant is very crowded on weekend and the best is make previous reservation. The staff is very friendly and fast, but it took a very long time to get the plates. The atmosphere since there are many social gatherings and families with lousy children is very loud, so is not a good option for a date. They have a... More

Have visited here before but a good steak is always guaranteed . It's a very busy restaurant but after a two minute queue to get in the service was spot on. We all started with chicken wings, went on to rump steak . Beautifully cooked and very tender. Three had pomme frites and I had a jacket potato. My only... More

My wife and I have been to Maredo group restaurants in other German cities and always found them excellent value and quality. This one is close the the Cologne Cathedral and the main Haubonhof railway station. The price for a meal is about 10-15 euros for chicken, lamb, pork, steak etc and a 0.5L of lager/beer is 3:80 euros. Cheaper... More

While in Cologne on business I found that there was a severe lack of a true salad in most restaurants and by a stroke of luck I happened to find one of the Maredo chain restaurants close to Cologne Hauptbanhoff. I was first struck by the size/selection of the salad bar and the overall friendliness of the staff, in fact... More

Having been to the Maredo in Frankfurt and received a horrible service experience, I didn't have high expectations when it was decided that we would go here for dinner. I was proved wrong in the form of a delicious rib-eye steak with fries and a pleasant atmosphere perfectly conducive for casual conversation. The prices were also quite reasonable for a... More

one piece of advice - do not order anything else than steaks, the salmon was huge disaster (we needed to send it back to the kitchen after they forgot about my order). The beer on the house did not make up for the ruined dinner.
