Upscale Italian Cuisine

Having been in Cologne several times, our dining experiences have not been too exiting. This time our hotel had an I Pad in every room with suggestions for restaurants, attractions, etc. Da Damiano was one of the restaurants listed here. It was very close to our hotel. So we asked our concierge to... read more

Have been in this place a few times already. My last visit a few days ago will be the last one. Food okay for that level of price (>50€ per person), though the scallops were cold. The menu list is quite small (about 10 choices for main courses) but they always run out of something anyway. This time they had... More

It is extremely overpriced. You easily spend 60€ per person with no wine included. Decent Wine prices start at 50€. There are plenty of restaurants around like La Gustosa or Rossini a bit further away from center but with prices at 1/3. We had dinner at Gustosa with a wine glass for 16€/pers.

Brilliant selection! Good service and top class quality...there are two Italian restaurants close to each other, they are both super, i had lunch on two consecutive days at both of them - both are Superb and I shall recommend for a gourmet experience!

My husband and I celebrating our 25th anniversary and his parents wanted to take us out for a special dinner. The Hilton front desk staff recommended Ristorante Da Damiano and made our reservations for us. They warned us it was a bit pricey, but said it would be worth it. They were right. We were seated in a small side... More

Expensive restaurant (main dishes were 32 euro) where you get small dishes. We were here with 5 people and none of us had eaten enough. We didn't take a dessert here as these were also very expensive. We took a bottle of wine and water and the waiter came to fill our glasses a little too much. We really had... More

This resturant is ran by an Italian family. They are so sweet. The food is the best I had in my visit in Cologne. I would come again, again and again. You feel homey as the family act naturally and lively. Don't miss the mushroom appetizer. Lamb chops and the steak. Creme brûlée is Outstanding. This is number one by... More

On a busy Friday night, this small Italian restaurant managed to handle a group of nearly 40 of us in the backroom. The setting was wonderful, like a wine cellar room. We had salmon and beef carpaccio, both beautifully done, house pasta with truffles beyond delicious, and veal chop. The taramisu was terrific. Wine and water kept flowing and all... More

We ate late and a couple of things were now off the menu, but they did give us an amuse bouche to compensate and it was very nice. All the wine is pretty expensive starting at 28 euros but I cannot comment on the quality other than our bottle of Chianti was lovely - went very nice with the steak... More
