Very Good to Excellent Food in Aachen

Excellent baked foie gras and fish soup. It is worth getting a bit of the beaten path and visiting this restaurant. If I had another dinner in Aachen, I would have gone here. Much, much better than the standard fare offered by the many outdoor restaurants on streets and squares. Look for it!

Awful service, unfriendly waitresses. There elderly waitresses working there look like they are unhappy and spoil even the taste of food.

Unbelievable that it was so quiet. We enjoyed being with just 1 other guest, but can imagine the owner was less enthusiastic about that. The clearly less good restaurants in the proximity were full. Unbelievable. The pasta with truffle was exactly how it should be, with a creamy sauce and fresh truffle. The herb salad also was excellent in it's... More

Nice location ; overrated for quality of food and price. We went for dinner. We are foodies. The price is expensive - we visited a Michelin star restaurant in Cologne two days later and paid 50 euros more. The food is acceptable - it's good - but for the price it's surprising. I shared the chicken dish ( for two... More

Interesting menus, food is of high quality, the presentation is nice, service is friendly, negative point is the small portions considering the high price.

This restaurant has several plus: - Obviously the food, selected and high quality ingredients. - The staff, nice and punctual. - The location, it seemed a little bistrot form outside even if, once entered, I changed my mind. - The wine selection which comprehend several German wines if you like to stay local. In any case they have also a... More

Very elegant special work dinner with Dutch hosts. Excellent serving, so good bread. As Italian I have to say that you can find one of the best "pasta al pesto" I have ever eat! White wines so good. Definitely to go!

My husband and I visited here on a cold winter's night for a rare weekend away, alone together. From the moment we entered we could not fault the cheerful and attentive service. The food was excellent. I started with the scallops and veal cheeks which were a match made in heaven. My husband had perch/pike with salsify which were again... More

We went on a city trip to Aachen to visit the special exhibitions organized for the Charlemagne Year. We decided to have lunch in this restaurant because it was one of the only ones mentioned for Aachen in the Michelin guide that way (hopefully) avoiding a tourist trap. The food is modern, original and good with many specials for the... More
