Went in lrage family group incl a couple of ankle-snappers and had a very enjoyable meal. The proprietor was very jolly and most helpful in describing the dishes on the menu. The kids had a plate full of gnochi which kept them quiet. The adults all enjoyed an excellent meal. I had a superb liver and onion dish - very... More

We went to this restaurant because it was warmly recommended. The food may be good if you ever get it. We ordered 2 courses. It took over an hour to get the salad. We waited nearly another hour for our pasta, but as it was still not ready despite being told many times it was nearly ready, we paid and... More

This restaurant is one of the best I have ever had the privilege to dine in. The food is imaginative and delicious. The chef loves his craft and loves to tell you about the menu and his inventions. You really must go and eat at this restaurant. I may even travel great distances to return!

This is a real gem - as a female alone on business I was made to feel very welcome. More importantly the food was fresh, very delicious & definitely made up for the awful German meal I had the previous night. Best tiramisu outside Italy & definitely worth a return visit.

Bella Italia never disappoints and we have been regular visitors since moving to Aachen some 16 months ago. The food is consistently good, the service from Mauro and Maria welcoming and the atmosphere relaxed and cosy. If you visit Aachen, visit Bella Italia - as we have spent months exploring other options - yet this is the only local place... More

This little restaurant has some good Italian food. I wouldn't over-hype it however, it's nothing extraordinary. Not that I would expect it, it's just an italian restaurant with normal prices, main dishes for €10-15 and desserts for €4-8. Two little things annoyed us a bit, the fact that one dessert only came when the other person could have already finished... More

As I am Italian, I do not like to eat Italian outside Italy as the kitchen is never the real one. In "Bella Italia" food is the right one. Interesting recipes, high quality ingredients. I felt home.

Last September 30th we enjoyed a short visit for lunch. The dishes were excellent, freshly made and with exquisite taste. The quality of th pasta was outstanding as well as the flavour of the different cheese sauces. The serving was excellent. And the place was cosy and comfortable. We had a really quiet and enjoyable lunch right in the centre... More

Just moved to Aachen for three years with my wife's work. Had our first Saturday night out at Bella Italia and we had a great time. Very cosy (tables are close together) but food is great (excellent seasonal specials) and the service charming and personable. We will be back.

If you go there forgett the pizza and the pastas ( which I am sure you can also eat there and they ´ll probably taste fantastic) but try the original italian food which you will actually find in this restaurant or in Italy! The food is made with lots of love, a lot of preparation and fresh ingredients! Don´t forgett... More
