For the last day in Gottingen we went to this place. Called in English "The house of the potato". The service was excellent, the food was great, the drinks very good ( don't like beer with banana), the atmosphere was super nice and the price was good. But the food took to long to be served. Any way we were... More

Thoroughly enjoyed a simple but lovely meal. The waiting staff were very efficient and helpful to non-German speaking customers.

Located right in town, a great place, naturally popular for its potatoes. Americans like me like it, everybody speaks perfect English, and they offer menus in English. Priced right, food and beer is awesome, a must do whie in town...

I had jäger schnitzel and chips. The portion was ample and it was well cooked, not soggy with oil. The service was quick and courteous. My colleagues had pumpkin ravioli which was a seasonal dish and had a very tempting aroma. Recommended for value.

Although well located, with a rich menu and well prepared specialties, I found it a bit too noisy and impersonal. To my opinion, it is more appropriate for large groups visiting the city than for gourmets.

This restaurant is located close to the City Centre, just to the West on Goethe-Allee where it crosses the Muehlengraben stream. There is an extensive menu, specialising in the potato dishes after which the restaurant is named but also offering plenty of other dishes too. The prices offer good value for money for the quality of the food. This is... More

I`ve been there for a group meeting-dinner, so proper place for large groups (with reservations of course!). My pepper steak was really really delicious and other orders around were also seen tasty. Waitstaff could be more polite for a this kind of a good restaurant.

A very appealing menu, with a vibrant atmosphere in the room. Families, couples, business groups all dining there. It appeared full when I arrived, but I was seen to a table within a minute. No complaints at all.
