We travel to Braunschweig a couple of time a year and this is always our first stop for A good German meal. Portions are very generous and the Schnizel is great. Nice local beer selection and an old world feel to the resteraunt. Seems to be a local favorite. One plus for us they are dog friendly, our Havanesse sleeps... More

It has a very nice deco and a homy atmosphere, but the food was too fatty, not tasty and relatively expensive than similar places in the same area.

My favorite destination in Braunschweig. Great atmosphere in a central location, cozy inside and relaxed Biergarten in the back. Very good ribs, schnitzel and other seasonal offerings.

Took a business trip to Germany and found this amazingly good pub. They served really good traditional food, good atmosphere, good beer, and reasonably priced ie 1 large salad two main courses two beers and a glass of wine €42. Be hungry, the portions are also traditionally German :)

We had reservations before going, which may be useful on busy nights. Everyone in my party ordered the daily special (printed in German and English). Don't make the mistake of ordering your potatoes fried, even though the menu clearly states that you can have them either boiled or fried. Our waitress became irritated when I did, and they came out... More

This restaurant is very small, so go early if you can. There is a beer garden out back for warmer days. Seems to cater mostly to locals, but very friendly to tourists as well, with English menu available. Would recommend the stuffed cabbage. Nice spot for a quiet, satisfying meal, near museums and convenient to tram stops.

This is a really funny place serving local food and seasonal specials. Good for dining w/o company and having a couple of beer afterwards.

Had dinner here one one evening with a small group. The menu is OK and the service was friendly. It is a popular place and so many of the regulars reserve a table. The place is cracked up as a local spot with a lot of character but once you get in and sit down it just feels like a... More
