Well, you know the process - these small "surprises" come in and you loose the sight of the original menu, and afterwards you can remember the goose liver and the lamb. This one surely is worth a visit or two if you can get someone else to pay.

The restaurant is very elegant and the service is great. The food portions are VERY small (braised beef short rib is literally ONE rib), but very flavorful. Prices were anything but small.
We visit Die Ente about once a year. Last time being for our dtr's HS graduation. Bilingual staff and a fine combination of german and other nouveau cuisine styles. Impeccable Service from a gracious bi-lingual staff. If you want an elegant evening this is a fine place to stop at in a city generally uncluttered with tourists.
This is a place to go to on very special occasions. I went once with my wife and it was a memorable experience. Fabulous food! Very beautiful inside. I liked the waiter serving with the white glove :) It was the most I ever spent at a restaurant in a single visit, but am glad to have done it.
We spent a nice time there. Very chic restaurant. Art deco style. Food quality is good and very well presented. Portions are not very big so do not hesitate to take a menu.
