Great place unfriendly service.

My girlfriend and I decided to come here on a whim. It was rated Fairly well and for good reason. The food and decor was both very good. Typical German food just like at home. The waitress was the most unfriendly that I have met yet. She was rude and acted as if she didn't want us here, maybe... read more

Uhrturn was reommended by our hotel. The atmosphere was what we were looking for; old German. The beer and wine were good. The food, on the other hand, was not what we hoped for. I ordered the schnitzel with mushrooms which came with German potatoes. I also ordered a side salad. My wife ordered the goulash with spatzle. The main... More

The beer came out of bottle instead on tap like written. We ordered food and it happens that the English and the German menu are not identical and so when we wanted the first course on the menu, we didn't know it would be sth completely different - as I asked they said, it's not possible to do anything about... Although we live 50km away from Wiesbaden and in Rheinland-Pfalz we visit the city, on shopping trips, 3 or 4 times a month. It was the time of the Xmas market and practically every restaurant or bar was full. this was our first visit to the Uhrturm and, obviously, packed from floor to ceiling. As look would have it, a... We have just spent a couple of days in Wiesbaden as part of our week long tour of the Hesse region. We stumbled upon the Uhrturm at lunch and went back a second time for dinner the next day. When in Germany we like to mix in with the locals and get the feel of the culture, the Uhrturm is... More

Altough it is not a really elegant place, its wooden walls and ceilings create a unique atmosphere of typical German food place. The glasses of white wine recommendations are excellent.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and the steaks were great! I walked by this place many times not knowing how good it was!

Cute little place. Food was ok. We had the goose. It was good, but we had better in other restaurants around Germany.
