I could eat here a lot

I once ate here three times in one week. The food is good Turkish food and the variety is simply amazing. You get a huge brick oven cooked bread to start your meal but save room for the main course. There are every kind of traditional food you could imagine. It is definitely popular with the... read more

Very cosmopolitan mix of patrons. Most dishes are numbered with pictures in case you don't speak German (or very well). Lamb was out of this world. I know some folks who frequent Istanbul and they say this is as close to Istanbul as you can get.

It is nice to find a full Turkish restaurant in Germany. I live in a small village and the only option we have for Turkish food are döner kebabs. So when I found Harput I had to try it. I arrived during dinner time and shared a large table with a couple sitting on the other end. This is perfectly... More

Both of the food and environment reminded me much of my visit to Turkey, I had the Iskender kebab, baklava and gazoz, nothing was overwhelmingly special yet this is miles ahead any Turkish doner shop I've ate at in western Europe. If you happen to be there try the bakery shop carting the same name on the opposite side of... More

We were taken to this place by our local Wiesbaden friends--a fabulous find with its own bakery shop (baclava) across the street. Cheap, good food, relatively quick for Germany, the wait staff is a little harried, but they are very busy. They make up for it though with great recommendations and a friendly attitude. I wish I was still living... More

This place was near to my accommodations in Weisbaden. The food was great with a large selection. Busy place with lots of locals and travelers too. Service wasn't something to brag about but then again I didn't expect much based on the other reviews. If go back hungrier next time so I could eat more.

I usually come to sharply whenever I'm in Wiesbaden for their great food, I really like their doners but service one of the worst I've experienced in Germany. Also most don't speak English and they don't have an English menu either, but the food is quite good. They also have a bakery across the street from their restaurant, with very... More

If you're an explorer of all things International and delicious, you're sure to love this restaurant as much as we did! Tipped off by the Lonely Planet, we had eagerly anticipated our first visit here. What an amazing delight! The vibrant energy of this lively place carries over to the authentic cuisine served at Harput. We arrived at dinner time... More

The food was absolutely delicious and you could tell it was prepared with fresh ingredients. Service was great, but slow as they were very busy, seemed like this is a popular place. Parking is limited as Harput is situated at a very busy and narrow street. We were seated outside which is great on a nice summer day, but since... More

A good place to go if you are on the run and want to eat some fresh grilled lamb chops, see bass or other Turkish grill specialities. We also love the very Turkish atmosphere, especially when they come with big families...in the same street there is another, more refined restaurant called Sultan. Similar concepts but moire choice and a better... More
