Rustic Charm and Good Food

Both the atmosphere and the staff make this cozy restaurant a very inviting stop for a fine German meal. The wait staff is very friendly. An English menu was available. Was a bit confused to find no schnitzel on the menu, then found out they call is "escalope" at this restaurant. It was... read more

After walking restaurant row in Wiesbaden. we chose this small charming restaurant which turned out to be good service, food and at reasonable prices. We so enjoyed it that two weeks later I still wish to share the name with other fellow travellers.

Wide choice of meats on the menu, with a variety of toppings. Portions are generous and well prepared. Wait staff is very attentive and friendly.

Had been there with friends after a busy day. The ambience is pleasant and rustic. The beers and food were very good, most of the german cuisine. Delicious schnitzel.

I have eaten here a few times and gotten dinners like goose and lamb and schintzel...all very good. Then a friend told me that people go there for the meat (i.e. different cuts of beef) on a hot marble stone, and since I tried that, I have not tried anything else! I get that with a side of fried onions... More

Visited here with wife and friends January 2015. Staff speak good English, compared to our bad German, so communication was good. Menus in German or English too. Also have seasonal specials (especially in December) Starters include nachos, cerano ham, cappacio, garlic prawns, soups (€4 to €11) Mains include snitzel (escalopes), steaks, skewers etc. All with choice of side dishes and... My favorite place when visiting Wiesbaden. Nestled in the “Altstadt”, the menu offers a variety of choices and seasonal specialty items. Well proportioned and nice presentation. Rustic atmosphere, courteous and friendly staff and consistent quality food, makes this a preferred restaurant for locals and visitors. Reservations for dinner weeknights/weekends recommended.

We are nearing the end of our eight day journey and came into Wiesbaden on a Sunday evening during the Christmas market. We were fortunate to stumble upon this little jem and were seated upstairs. The Wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the food was some of the best we have had on our trip. I had the... More

This used to be our go-to place for German food. We loved the schnitzel and the fried potatoes. They had the crispiest breading for their schnitzel of everywhere we tried. Then last December when we went taking several friends with us, the breading on the schnitzel had changed. It tasted like they went to some pre-made schnitzels that they just... More

Looked at trip advisor for advice on restaurants and came up with this one. We didn't book and there wasn't room inside so we sat outside. We were told there was at least a 45 min wait for food. We were sitting at our table right next to the door ( see it in their picture) and the waiter didn't... More
