Cafe Vetter is a wonderful experience. My wife and I visited twice while in Marburg. The view is unbeatable, overlooking half the city. The food is also very good. I had salmon on potato pancakes, and they were wonderful. The student breakfast, which my wife had, is enough to satisfy large appetites on a budget. We will come back next... More

Great place to have a refreshment. On a nice day, the terrace has fantastic view and fresh air. If it is raining, the view from the inside is still nice. The cakes are excellent (as good as Klingelhofer), but the service is not as personal.

in an old setting with wooden furniture, typical decoration and a professional musician playing piano, you have the classic German Konditorei. Food is good. We were a bit disappointed becausewe could not get a seat in the piano room and had to go underneath in an empty room. But fantastic view on the Lahn valley. Also our German friends were... More

Cafe Vetter is always worth a visit because they really have awesome and delicious cakes! One the most traditional and historic Cafe Houses in Marburg going back to the early part of the last century and since in the hands of three generations of Konditormeisters...or Masters of Patisserie! The cakes are of original recipes and made with real fresh cream... More

Wonderful cakes, generous slices, very fresh. We didn't eat there, but took them to go, so can't say much about the table service. Looked charming though.

Every body is going to upper/old city in Marburg. On the way back this place is the nicest I seen during my stay there. The big veranda is looking to the city. The nice ventilation/conditioning, great food and good service makes this place commendable

We like this Cafehouse very much because it has a huge selection of cakes and theowner makes the cakes right on the premises and you can watch how they make it at certainntimes. The cakes are mouthwatering delisious and the service is very efficient. The deoration is unique and a little old fashion with red carpets and wooden cafe stle... More

We always throw our diets out the window at Cafe Vetter, choosing from cream cakes, beautiful fruit tortes, all manner of chocolate, etc. They're all delectable, and we love looking down on parts of the old city, across the River Lahn and up to Wilhelmsturm and the dark hills of the Lahnberge.

It has a reputation as the place to go for coffee and cakes but I was quite disappointed. It has a rather dated decor and the cakes didn't look anything nice as those at Cafe am Markt. Certainly the one I chose wasn't very special.

I've been t to Cafe Vetter twice now, the first time in 2009 and the second today. On our first visit, the cake was average, nothing to write home about. The service was good, quick, and friendly. On today's visit we went there for lunch, and thanks to the great weather we were able to sit outside. They have umbrellas... More
