Great little restaurant with lovely local dishes right in the heart of the Old Town

Nothing special at all from outside (or inside really) but staff very friendly and welcoming, very good drinks on offer (the local apple wine ("Epplewoi") tasted lovely (unlike some other we had later in Frankfurt which tasted like... read more

Had evening dinner here during a four day stay in Frankfurt. Nothing special at all from outside (or inside really) but staff very friendly and welcoming, very good drinks on offer (the local apple wine ("Epplewoi") tasted lovely (unlike some other we had later in Frankfurt which tasted like battery fluid!) and, above all, great food very well cooked. Traditional German food, lot of beers to choose. Very close to the shopping center of Frankfurt and Romer platz. Fair value for money, excellent schnitzel. Friendly and helpful staff, nice music.

Ate here twice on our visit to Frankfurt. Meals were delicious on both occasions. Portions were huge. Good selection of beer. Great service. Will definitely be back when return to Frankfurt.

I've been in this restaurant several times. Every time that my guests wants to walk around city center I plan to stop and have lunch there. Typical German food with fair price very close to the main sightseeing in the city center. Staff is friendly and you can also watch football there.

We were walking around Frankfurt and decided to have some beer. It was late-afternoon, so it may have been a bit early for the dinner crowd, but we sat outside. It is a covered patio with heating lamps, so it was quite nice given that the day was chilly. We only had a couple of beers, but the menu looked... More

This place is very popular with the locals and it was lovely to be seated outside. I was here with 3 of my family members and we ordered 2 dishes, a few beers, apple wine (yum!) and the apfelstruedel to share and it was enough! The portions are hefty and worth the price. I have to say that the asparagus... More

Food above average, very pleasant staff (very few changes over time), quick service. A typical German 'local', including bar, fruit machine and soccer games on big screen. Attention paid to detail, which speaks well for the management effort. One of my regulars.

If you are looking for a nice local restaurant, this place is good. I had schweinhaxe. The sauerkraut was some of the best I have ever had. The pork fell off the bone and was excellent. The meal was priced very reasonably. The service was good, and very friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place if you are looking to get some... More

Quality food reflecting local tastes and a great place to sit outside and watch people go by. Reasonable service and prices not to high considering the proximity to the main pedestrian shopping area

The food and service was nice. Although the staff did not speak English, they made an effort, and didn't make errors in the order. However, a downside to the bar/restaurant that there are two slot machines that attract a strange type of crowd, and the bar was full of people sipping their beer, then glancing at the slot machine, sighing,...
