Excellent service

It is walking distance from the Leonardo Royal Hotel where we stayed. It is such a privilege to be able to dine in one of the remaining towers of the city wall. Recommended by reception at the hotel, this is just a short walk up the hill. Pleasant enough place, and our service was good, The food was average at best. Perhaps a place to come and have a few beers and a meal, but not a night out.

I was there for a business arrangement with a larger group. Authentic place with lots of charm, nice beers and service. The food however, was not really that good. We got a starter and a buffet with different german specialities.

Short city visit last year, close to my hotel (Leonardo Hotel formerly Holiday inn city south), visited at quiet time as it was mid week around 4pm local time for late lunch/early dinner, sat indoors due to the intermittent rain, amazing variety of sausages, beer, and dishes. Very good customer service. Would return.

We spent a lovely evening sitting in the beer garden, it was pleasant and quiet in the early evening but didn't get quite busy and noisy the later it got. We had two different meals, both were very nice. We wished we had had another opportunity to visit the restaurant again before we left Frankfurt but it wasn't. possible

A great German beer garden with a bit of history thrown in. When you exit the Royal Leonardo Hotel, turn right, cross the road and this place is about a 150 yards further up the road. Its clean tidy and roomy, whether you sit inside or sit outside and enjoy the good weather. I arrived on a Sunday and it... More

Excellent choice in Frankfurt if you are looking for a traditional German restaurant in an historic building which is 300 years old. Fast service and great food at reasonable prices. Great selection of German Beers as well. You can have diner in the outside if weather helps

This was quite a nice surprise. Typical German beergarten atmosphere. Food was very good, so was the service.

Here's a tip for anyone going to Frankfurt on business. That's not unusual since Frankfurt is the financial center of Germany and thousands come every year to trade fairs at the exposition complex, the gigantic Messe Frankfurt. I can recommend Sachsenhäuser Warte on Darmstädter Landstrasse. They serve a locally brewed Binder Pils and what I can only describe as German... More
