We always stop here for a dinner of Scweinehaxen(pig's knuckle) grilled, with mash potatoes and sauerkraut. They have a varieed menu but this is our favorite.

We visited this pub on the first night of a trip to Frankfurt. Fortunately the swarms of gnats referred to by an earlier reviewer had subsided and only a few stragglers were left. Service was very prompt (some might say over zealous) and was generally efficient. Our orders were taken promptly and the food delivered to us within a few... More

OK, it was a bit chilly when we found this place, so we decided to eat indoors. The fact that no one else was inside should of been a clue. The place is buzzing with gnats, you had to cover your drink with a coaster, and protect your food. Speaking of food, the food was good, nothing to write home... More

Really like this place. Mellow with an atmosphere that too many places in Germany don't have. The food was good but the peopke make the place.

So, start with a surly maître d' who was also bartender, waiter, and chief cup washer. Only to find out this was his joint. Order several litres of beer and then into the mains and realise that this is a great place. The owner is busy but actually very funny. The food is fantastic. Nothing fancy. Just really good German... More

Great food, full dishes, good variety in beers, normal prices at the center of Frankfurt. What else could someone want?

We were just walking around, trying to find a place to eat, close to where our hotel was, near the Konstablerwaffe subway. It was either this, or the starbucks. Hmmm. Good beer, served in 0.5L or 1L if you'd like. Nothing fancy on the menu, pretty normal food, and it tasted quite good. I was amazed how quickly the food... More

I wanted to have a proper German eisbein (pork knucle) and my local friends took me to this restaurant. I had a delicious meal (the smoked pork knucle with mashed potatos and sour cabbage), with an interesting local dark beer. The portions are huge and the prices are very good (I paid 21 euros in total). I had a taste... More

The restaurant is very good , I can say it is an excellent Germany restaurant. You can go there very easy as it is near the train station at the start of the Zeil shopping area. Friendly stuff. Roasted pork is excellent! Beer of course excellent ,too. I recommend it!

Our first time to Germany, we asked our hotel concierge at the Westin Grand Frankfurt, about recommendations for an authentic German restaurant. Solber Faessje was a very short walk from the hotel and the perfect German welcome to these American visitors. It's a casual, clean restaurant with a fun atmosphere. The Germany soccer playoffs were on and a small crowd... More
