We wanted to relax after endless walking and exploring and this fit the bill. Delicious well prepared food. I had sausage with potatoes. The waiter recommended a beer / lemon lime combo that became my favorite choice during our vacation. It was so refreshing. I forget what it was called and will add to notes later.

This pub is 5 minutes drive from the city center. It is always packed which is a good sign. They serve traditional German food at shared tables which is a great chance to meet and talk to local people. If you do not understand the menu, don't hesitate to ask your table-mates. I had the schnitzel with mushroom cream and... More

This is a pub where one can mingle with the locals or watch what the Frankfurters do while enjoying a pleasant rounds of beers and local food. You won't be disappointed.

A very ordinary pub, really nothing special. I'm sure there are much better places to eat in Francfort. The meal was alright, but neither the food nor the atmosphere had left a good impression.

We have visited before Christmas, place was packed and that is always a good sign. It has its own unique pub atmosphere. Me and my wife joined 5 local farmers at one table and had fun whole evening. Beer is great, but you have to try local apple cider/wine - they call it 'ebbelwoi' :-). It is produced only around... More

Situated at 5 minutes drive from the city center this restaurant serves traditional German food at shared tables. So if you do not understand the menu, don't hesitate to ask at your table-mates. Otherwise try the following: Starter: Sachsenhauser schneegestober (cheese) or the Zwiebelsuppe (onionsoup, quite good but not really digest). Main dish: Atschel krutchen (schnitzel with cheese topping) Personally... More

Fantastic dinner. We wandered in with no reservation and they found room for us. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner. Food was fantastic. Service was exceptional. If I ever move to Frankfurt I would live in the neighborhood to eat here regularly. Real sense of community and fun and good food. When I go back to Frankfurt we will hope to go again.

Dropped in on our last night in Frankfurt on the basis of TA reviews. It was the Sunday night before Christmas and was very busy but they were able to fit our family of four in after a bit of a wait. We were not disappointed. I had a spicey pork shoulder, my daughter had the pork knuckle, my son... More

This is the second time here. First off, we arrived without a reservation at 5. They said they could serve us but we had to be finished by 7. We're American so that was not a problem. Service was prompt and with a smile and laugh. Then the food came. I have teenage boys so we ordered the Frankfurter Teller.... More

This spot is fantastic. Really. If you want a German style dinner/drink, this is the spot. I will say that there are some "bests" I've ever had here: best schnitzel, best apple donut, best apfelewein... I (we) tried the schnitzel, onion soup, frankfurters, and apple donut dessert as well as chocolate mousse. All were amazing. This place is just outstanding.... More
