We visited Atschel after reading the TA reviews and we were not disappointed. We walked the from Frankfurt Main train station (about 20min) to the restaurant hoping we could get a seat. It was Monday night and the placed was packed, however we were able to sit across from another couple (large share tables). The staff were very friendly. We... More

Near the U (station) just some stations from Hauptbahnhof this restaurant serves good German food with a good price and service. The whole place really takes you to a traditional place that makes you feel comfortable. I went from the airport and the travel time was about 30minutes.

Well, I was really pleased by this place. Staff so friendly and food is just flawless. Full of oldtimers - it is usual sign of good traditional food. Must visit for tourists.

Great little restaurant. The staff greeted me, as I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, warmly and foun me a seat even though the tables were mostly reserved. I asked for recommendations and the waitress pointed me to the Pork Shoulder. When it came out, I asked if it was for one or two people it was so large. She... More

We ended our 3 day trip to Frankfurt with a meal at Atschel. As we have a rowdy 2 year old son we were slightly concerned about taking him to a traditional applewine restaurant. Our fears were completely unfounded - the waitress found us a table, even though most were reserved, fetched a high chair that fitted on the long... More

What a find. Just wandering the streets on a Tuesday lunchtime with friends and we came upon this superb restaurant. Great German food, massive pork ribs, Schnitzel and lots of traditional goodies. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel with homemade Spatzle. Really tasty Mushroom cream sauce and the best part of all, Schnitzels the size of the dinner plate and there... More

We didn't taste the courses. We should have made reservation earlier. There was a 2 hour waiting list. It was full at Sunday evening

Came here with my husband during a 5 hour layover and we were definitely pleased! The spaetzel was very authentic and it was exactly what I was looking for.

I must say that I ate the absolute very best Weiner Schnitzel with green sauce of my life here. It was lightly breaded, no greasiness and tasted so luscious. My Hubster had a similar dish with a wonderful brown gravy mushroom sauce and he too found it outstanding. The atmosphere of Atschel is so endearing. My Hubster was wondering what... More

This had all the hallmarks of a disaster but it was brilliant. Went on a Saturday night with 3 mates and the place was packed. Had this place not been recommended by a friend we'd have turned and left. The staff insisted they could accommodate us however and we were ushered to a very cramped table at the back of... More
