Great place in Frankfurt to have a taste of traditional German cuisine! Had dinner as a corporate group of about 40. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, watching world cup as we ate and made lots of noise. The staff were very attentive and keen in their order taking. Remarkable for such a large group. The bathroom facilities were quite clean with nice... More

We asked some tapas before dinner but it took long time to get and the quality was so poor that we gave up. Avoid if possible.

I was taken here by some good friends and had a great night. This is a very typical Fankfurt restaurant with long wooden tables and chairs, serving traditional apple wine and beers plus fantastic traditional food. The atmosphere is was very good and the good also great.

I went with a friend who lives in Frankfurt to the Eichkatzen Restaurant. It is in the Sachsenhausen area and is typical of that locality. The interior of the restaurant is very charming with murals of country scenes but as it was warm evening we ate outside in the garden. It has a beer garden atmosphere with shared tables refractory... I am a fan of schnitzel, and even I couldn't finish my portion, although it was so tasty that I wanted to! The waiter was friendly to our group and offered us English menus. Between the little German that we spoke and the amount of English he spoke, with lots of smiles, we did just fine. Also, the location is... More

My friends and I came across this restaurant by accident. But we were very lucky, a great experience. The food was excellent and great value for what we ordered.

This place might look a bit intimidating, but don't let that put you off. The staff in here are really friendly and greet you with a smile whether you are a German speaker or not. They even had an English menu for our guests. This is Frankfurt at its best, Apfelwein and German food! The portions are always huge and... More

If you have a pallette that likes something different it might be for you. This is what as known as a traditional ebbelwoi (apple wine) restaurant. In good weather you eat outside at long wooden tables, sometimes sharing with others. The food is traditional for Frankfurt; grune sose, pork dishes, blutwurst, frankfurter with sauerkraut, pork schnitzel. You drink applewein served... More

If you are in the mood of waiting long in the hope of getting big portions of bad food, that is the right place to go! I am not the biggest fan of the local Frankfurt food, but from time to time I enjoy Apfelwein and the recipes of the area. A Grünersoße prepared with love or a Rippchen (boiled... More
