Good traditional Apple Wine Bar

This is a great place, very traditional with nice friendly service, good beers and lovely wines. It has a warm atmosphere and long benches reminiscent of German Beer halls. The food is good, very down to earth traditional fare ( don't go if you are counting calories or don't like meat!)

I have been about 8 times to this restaurant because it truly has the best Schnitzel in town. However it is always a let down when realizing over and over again that the staff has the worst attitude I have ever encountered. I always tried to ignore it and enjoy the good food over there but after my last visit... More

My favourite traditional restaurant in Frankfurt. In my opinion, the best choice in Frankfurt to taste a real Schnitzel in typical German atmosphere!

We came here with friends from out of town to have some tradition German dinner. The atmosphere was cosy, the seating consisted of wooden benches and tables - very old German style pub/bar like. I ordered a käse Spätzle and wished I never did! Portions were large but was overall tasteless, even after adding a ton of salt! It was... More

i was here in September 14 and went there for dinner on a Sunday night. Thankfuly it was open and not crowded at all.....I walked all the way from Frankfurt Hbf to this place and it took me some 30minutes The place has an old world charm with wooden benches and tables with a taverna like feeling and dull lighting.... Great place in Frankfurt to have a taste of traditional German cuisine! Had dinner as a corporate group of about 40. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, watching world cup as we ate and made lots of noise. The staff were very attentive and keen in their order taking. Remarkable for such a large group. The bathroom facilities were quite clean with nice... More

We asked some tapas before dinner but it took long time to get and the quality was so poor that we gave up. Avoid if possible.

I was taken here by some good friends and had a great night. This is a very typical Fankfurt restaurant with long wooden tables and chairs, serving traditional apple wine and beers plus fantastic traditional food. The atmosphere is was very good and the good also great.

I went with a friend who lives in Frankfurt to the Eichkatzen Restaurant. It is in the Sachsenhausen area and is typical of that locality. The interior of the restaurant is very charming with murals of country scenes but as it was warm evening we ate outside in the garden. It has a beer garden atmosphere with shared tables refractory... I am a fan of schnitzel, and even I couldn't finish my portion, although it was so tasty that I wanted to! The waiter was friendly to our group and offered us English menus. Between the little German that we spoke and the amount of English he spoke, with lots of smiles, we did just fine. Also, the location is... More
