Man vs food!

Go there, have a couple of beers and try to eat one of their schnitzel with cheese cream and champignons. A big big schnitzel. The biggest you ever seen. It's a sort of man vs food match. But I must say a delicious match! Go and try!

I walked to Heuser Eichbaum Tresen after a long day of business meetings. I wasn't very hungry, so I only ordered a salad. It was amazing! It was covered in tomatoes and cheese and had a creamy dressing that wasn't Ranch and wasn't Italian but was a little like both and really good. It absolutely hit the spot and was... More

This restaurant does everything right. The only thing I could almost fault them with is making the schnitzel so darn big. This restaurant easily has the best schnitzel in town and of all the places I've tried in the Hessen state. The place can fill up pretty fast, so make a reservation, and they only take cash. I would ding... More

I have eaten here before and always enjoy it. The Schnitzel is amazing!! Be careful, the schnitzel is HUGE! I have never finished one, but always take the extra home... it is that good. The service is great and the staff speak many different languages. The only thing is that they DON'T take credit cards... only cash. (minimized with an... More

In the schnitzel that I ordered, some braun string was founded! So I just complained about this to a waitress! She went to Chef and came back.. told me that was the bark of onions! And she said that "No one dies, eating the bark of onions". This time she would provide a drink for free, but next time when... More

I had the schnitzel with mushrooms and cheese, (I believe the cheese was a local german cheese called kääse). It was definitely the best schnitzel I've ever had and one of the best German meals I've ever had. The staff is friendly and speaks English. They were kind to me, like most Germans, despite being an American tourist. I tried... More

The schnitzel is the best I have ever had (50+ restaurants). Very fresh and tasted fantastic with large portions... come hungry. Make reservations! It is a small place, but the demand is so high they need reservations... even during the week. The service is good and the atmosphere is inviting and warm. Prices are mid level (Schnitzel was approximately 14-17... More

I have eaten here several times over the last year and both quality and quantity are superb. Great service is also a big plus from friendly staff. Just remember two things for this restaurant , 1 go there hungry the portions are massive. And 2 book a table in advance as it is always heavily booked on weekends. The Schnitzel... More

This was one of the best schnitzel I've tried in Germany and, for sure, in Darmstadt. Very good price, we went there because of the recommendation of a local couple that we met after finding out that our first option for that night was closed. The place is lovely, very comfortable and there are a lot of options for dinner.... More

Stayed a few days in Darmstadt and discovered this Gem. The atmosphere was cosy, the service very friendly and the food out of this world. The restaurant's specials are it's delicious and huge Schnitzels. Other typical German dishes are also offered and seasonal specials are mentioned on the blackboard. The variety of wines, beers and spirits are rounding up the... More
