As soon as we walked through the restaurant door, we felt the warmth and then when we sat at our table we felt the “Gemütlichkeit.” We were seated in a small room of the Wasserweibchen whose walls were decorated with pictures, dolls, plates and other such things; the lighting was subdued but not too dark and the 4 tables were... Just been there yesterday night - had a typical German seasonal dinner with an excellent salad as an Appetizer, goose with red cabbage, dumplings, Sauce etc. as the main course plus vanilla icecream, plums and "Kaiserschmarrn" as a Dessert. Good South African red wine with it and a "Schnaps" after the Dessert. Very nice cozy atmosphere - Restaurant is not... More

I make a point of eating here every year during the October Frankfurt book fair - it's a can't-miss for me and my colleagues/friends. It's a bit noisy and crowded, but the food is worth it. There is an English version of the menu, and the staff is helpful. Be sure to make a reservation; this place is always hopping!... More

Too bad this place is now over an hour away from us as we would be going here all the time. It was so good the we went there the next night. The pork medallions with potatoes was just incredible. The service was great and very friendly. We had no problems asking about items on the menu. However the German... More

This historic building in front of schloss Bad Homburg is 20 minutes northwest of Frankfurt. Stefan and his staff offer a unique menu with a wide range of selections with charming small village ambiance. Don't miss my favorite dessert the kaiserschwarm served with ice cream and seasonal fruit topping. It's a sure stop here each time I am in Frankfurt... More

Good restaurant, nice atmosphere, only a bit noisy. Typical German food well prepared. Home cooking in the historical Zum Wasserweibchen building. The menu available also in English, includes fantastic dishes, such as the beef with Frankfurt green sauce (Grüne Soße) and Kaiserschmarrn, the dessert of the Kaiser (the Austrian emperor Franz Joseph I). "No pleasure is temporary because the impression... More

I like the atmosphere at this restaurant. I was impressed by the choice of food and the possibility to have a light but still tasty dinner. I had the local typical "Rind" with green sauce. The potatoes and vegetables were very good too. I stated with the kraut soup, a very good choice. We had local beer Lichte which was... More

Nice german restaurant with cosy atmosphere. Would come here with guests who want to eat in a typical german setting with the average food that goes with it. Service is friendly and informal, maybe too. Prices are friendly.
