Impromptu posh lunch

A surprise find whilst driving through. Lovely setting. Great food, we didn't have any wine. Meat, fillet fish, salad, sides, soup, dessert - all well flavoured. Fish fillet had a few bones - so maybe that drops a few rating points as we've never had fillet served with bones. Never the less, it... read more

I have to admit that there are better steaks out there. The waiters are very careful of the customer. The concept is clear Christian Rach style. I had a very high curiosity it was all good but for the price you pay you must want something special.

Possibly the best steak in the Bahrenfeld/Altona districts of Hamburg. The fake snails are a must - small strips of sirloin in garlic sauce - wonderful.

Service was good, wine list OK, starters (mixed Seafood) was of low quality, food was mushy and did not make the freshest impression. Meat was fine, but neither dramatically special nor exceptional quality. Overall too much praise and expectations to match with the evenings facts.

Personally, I like to make my steak on my own grill, but if I go out I expect the best. The quality of the meat was excellent and it was prepared exactly as ordered, medium-rare. We were a group of about 10. The menu included a selection of starters and desserts. The main was a la carte. The rib-eye was... More

Ate there today for lunch, first time. I did not see the inside of the restaurant, but they have wonderful seating outside. The food is great. They had a very full menu, although at midday they have a "Mittags" menu that was also wonderful and simple. I had the "Roast" of the day, which was a variety of 3 meats,... More

We went here last night for dinner, and it was brilliant! The decore is great. you walk through the gates from the small (5 car) car park and you're greeted by an open fire and a water feature. I bet it would be lovely eating out here in summer. The staff spoke english to us, and advised us of the... More
