We had dinner here on our first day in Hamburg and we came back every evening - 4 evenings in a row and were terribly sad when we had to leave Vienna, Hamburg - Vienna, we love you!!! Food is simply brilliant. If you are a real and serious foodie, you will love this place. At Vienna you spend your... More

I phoned the restaurant and was told they don't take bookings, I should just come in and wait at the bar for a table, apparently. When we arrived we were told we would get a table and had to wait standing in the cramped entrance area. We waited there for 85 minutes and were largely ignored by staff. Also, several... More

What an amazing place, not reservations are accepted, so you have to show up and put your name on the list. You're greeted at eh entrance by a small bar and very positive buzz to the place, having a drink while waiting ensures you can feel the vibe, and see all the dishes that come out. We were seated after... More

If you are looking for a quiet, personal-style restaurant in the over crowded zone in schanzenviertel, t'hats the place. The dishes were great, and there's a menu if you don't want to spend so much.

I've never seen a restaurant with such discrepancies between kitchen and service. To cut it short: the food is delicious and really fair value for the money. But the service is a Desaster. No reservations are taken, so we just dropped by. We were seated at the last available table, the menu was on the table. We made a decision,... More

The food here was great, but be prepared to wait. This place is not meant for a large party. We had 4 in our party and waited almost 2 hours to be seated. Other parties of 2 were able to be seated earlier. We went on a weekday, and arrived around 7:45pm. Other advise us to be there before 7pm,... More

We arrived at 9.30 but on a saturday night so were told we had to wait but it was only 15/20 mins for the two os us. the restaurant is tiny so not suitable for bigger parties as you cannot book. The small room meant there was a lovely atmosphere and the waiter was also wonderful helping with the german... More

My husband and I visited on Wednesday night around 8pm and were not seated until just after 9, but had a drink at the bar. We met a nice couple there so they asked if we could all sit together. The food was delicious and fairly reasonably priced. I would certainly go again, even with the wait because it was... More

Very warm and welcoming place. Small and cosy. No reservations taken so it's best to arrive early. Fresh food and great service.

Half the charm at this place is generated by how small and tucked away it is. The other half comes from the friendly, efficient staff and scrumptious food. The ever-changing menu offers something for every taste, and the prices are within reason. Highly recommended.
