I visited twice. 1: XXL pork chop. It is huge with a big pile of fries. Sufficient for two. Steak knife could have been provided and the pork cutlet was a bit tough. 2: Hunter pig (yeah it is called that). Better to me than the XXL. It is fried just nice covered with a brown sauce of mushroom &... More

I've been visiting this place regularly with friends since it open - I think about 15-20 years ago. Today the visits are not weekly anymore, because I live in the USA, but whenever I am visiting Hamburg, I'll meet with my old friends here. The food is simple and cheap German food. Good portion sizes and something for everybody. As... More

While in Germany we ate in three of the schwineske restaurants and were not disappointed on any occasion. The food was great and was very reasonably priced and the service was excellent. Once meals were ordered the food would be on the table within 5 minutes every time. I was very impressed and would recommend a visit here to anyone... More

I was in this restaurant on sunday evening, it was enough busy and especially with German people, no tourists at all. They have a menu in English - very rare in Hamburg - and personnel are kind and fast. The menu is a classical selection of German dishes. I had a chiecken ceasar's salad while my wife had a schnitzel... More

We ate here on a trip with friends. It's a fun pig themed restaurant with loads of seating and everything's decorated with pigs. There's a huge menu and they'll helpfully provide one in English if you don't speak German. The food is traditional German food and a slightly better standard than fast food. They fed a large table of us... More

Good place if you are hungry and don't want to get ripped off but if you have a little bit higher standard avoid it. Service is fast but loud music and televisions everywhere makes it the perfect place for youngs with low budget and big stomach.

Our family of 5 (2 adults and kids 3-13 years old) visited for a late quick dinner The concept is "German Fast Food" with the classic sausages and schnitzels - Not award winning food but good quality, uncomplicated and plenty of it. We were quickly seated and the service was friendly and english speaking. We had a very pleasant experience... More

It's the best balance of good food and good price. It would be difficult to find a restaurant with a better schnitzel, and nearly impossible to find it cheaper. Their beer prices are also cheaper than any other restaurant I've been to in Hamburg. My husband and I eat there literally almost every Friday. The one by Stadhausbrücke looks out... More

We ate there, 6 year old boy, 9 year old girl and the parents. We had tasty food with and without pork - even a vegitarian dish for one of us. The atmosphere was very fine, the televsions showed a football match between Hamburg and Leverkusen (1-0, then 1-1). Good value for the money. Quick service. In all, we are... More
