Tasty fish dishes, nice atmosphere (despite the grumpy waiter who didn't even appreciate the 25% tip we left him!), upper level, outside seating, great wine selection. 3 or 4 course meals available or a la carte - nice small selection of contemporary dishes. Cocktails and liquorice ice cream are tasty treats too. Though a tad bit overpriced for my liking.

This is a beautiful restaurant to go as couples or friends and family. The food is delicious, the wine list is very good and the decor is confortable and chick. Price is mid-range and very adequate for the whole experience. If I ever return to Hamburg, I am sure I will go there again!

Went there with friends. The food and service was excellent. The name may be a bit misleading because the foos is more French/European than Egyptian. The have a very good winelist also a reasonable prices.

Very good restaurant, mentioned in Michelin. Food excellent with interesting combinations. Very good "house" wine (Rosé) recommended by the very friendly waitress. Very busy Saturday night and the serving was a bit sluggish at the beginning, but worth waiting for.

In the end I came to the conclusion good but I wouldn't come again. Nothing too ordinary and other place in that area have overtaken NIL apparently. The food was okay I.e the asparagus was... More

Great bistro atmosphere and quality food. Not cheap but worth it. The octopus was a whole tentacle (be warned) lol

Nil is a nice restaurant in the Sternschanze part of town. While not fancy per se, it's a tad more upscale than other places in the area. The atmosphere was friendly and cozy, and service was good. My friend and I both had fish dishes, which were well-prepared but not amazing. Good wines by the glass. Enjoyable experience overall, but... More
