The food and service is always fine. And good weather permitting you can sit on a balcony at Watch the life in the habour. A huge cruiseship was nearby.

I read about this restaurant in Tripadvisor while my kids were playing at Rabatzz. We went straight there and were underdressed tourists. No snobbery here. They noticed we were with children and received a window table without a reservation on a busy Sunday. The kids were served their meals while my wife and myself had our appetizers. They went out... I booked at 5 pm a table for 8 pm. They were honest and they told I will have probably to wait. I was there on time, and they asked me to wait at the bar: a polite barman asked me "something to drink ?", I asked for a white martini, that I found later in the bill (it was... More

After reading the glorious reviews of this resturant, I decided to go here for a business dinner. Reality was a memorably forgettable experience. I expected the full five-star experience, whereas had less, with flashes of brilliance here and there. The ambience inside the restaurant oozes of old school style, elegance and charm. Sitting on the outside deck, the view of... More

No surprises with this restaurant, which could be classified as a very classic and traditional german old cuisine. Service, very attentive and polite; Table, clean and elegant; Food, good enough, but not great. I dont have something to crtitize but I was not amazed or happily surprise with their dishes. The prices are pretty high as it correspond for this... More

Good for a special night out. The view of the Elbe is great even from the 2nd or 3rd row of tables. The seafood is fresh and well prepared. However, we find the menu a bit limited. A little expensive but it is worth it.

A nice lunch in a solid, well run traditional German seafood place - very enjoyable. Service was fine - whilst a few spoke English we were the only non-Germans at lunch (a situation we very much appreciated), it was not a meal to remember for the service - not that it was bad in any way. The food was simple... More

We knew that this is one of the best restaurants in Hamburg. And in fact we had a 3-course menu which was absolutely outstanding in taste, presentation and quality! The service was excellent and our enjoyment complete. Come early or book in advance. If you get there before 12 you may even get a parking lot. For lunch not expensive... More
