Great spot in the port, with views to match and amazing seafood

The decor is surprising as you walk up to the first floor and enter the restaurant. It can not be faulted for that, nor service, nor great choice of great seafood. This place is really special. When you come up the stairs it is like stepping into another area. Nice and maritime decor, cool family/friends photos in the bar. And not forget the great views of the harbor. Staff is friendly but busy, but the place was also buzzing when we visited on a Friday evening. Food was fantastic, several had... More

There're seafood restaurants and there's this wonderful Fiescherhafen. Wonderful restaurant by the wharf. I ordered their house specialty, smoked eel with omelette. I was recommended this dish by their lovely waitress. It's fantastic. I also order Fresh Plaice with bacon bits. This is the freshest fish i had in all my visits to germany. I travelled around cities like berlin,... More

What a charming restaurant! Contemporary style combined with timeless elegance, overlooking the River Elbe. We arrived in Hamburg on the Queen Elizabeth and met up with friends who showed us the sights - better than any organised tour - and then lunch at Fischereihafen. It was a delight. Our chosen starters included prawns, sushi and scallops - all tasted and... More

We really expected a good restaurant but we we were so disappointed that for sure we will not come back again. Right at the entrance you feel the fake atmosphere, everything is so fake from the behavior of the lady at the entrance till the waiter who served us. The food is not so bad but nothing special. Never take... More

Tried to book the restaurant for my business function of about 24 pax but the restaurant assistant insisted that it is not possible for them to offer ala carte menu for 24 pax. So I asked if we could come to any agreement to pre-book perhaps 20 pax and the balance nos as ala carte (since I am not certain... More

Not a bad experience. I had the wild fried Turbot which was quite nice and some oysters. If you want some good fish at a moderate price Fischereihafen is the joint!

We arrived at the Fischereihafen early enough to grab a table. The service was attentive and welcoming and they really took the time to explain signature dishes and more about the history of the restaurant. The food was delicious - so much so, that we wanted to come back the next day! If you're looking for a nice place to... More

The restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at the Fairmont. It seems quite a well known restaurant in Hamburg and booking in advance is recommended. We arrived a bit early and were told to wait in the bar area. This was pretty cramped and felt more like a waiting area. It was interesting though to see pictures on... More
