BIG Schnitzel and Beer

I am thankful that I made a reservation on a Friday night, the place was packed and people were standing and waiting for a table. If you are looking for fancy, this is not tha place. If you are looking for a good schnitzel, good beer and a full stomach, this place is worth a try. We could hear... read more

delicious and very big portion. I choose here because two locals who work in the pub recommended it to me. The restaurant looks simple not fancy at all, but the food surprised me totally. If you are not hungry at all, you can share with your friend.

Delicious, great portions, but the service was a bit curt. I had a Wienerschnitzel mit pomme frittes and it was delicious. The waitress was really nice, and we chatted a bit about American vs. German food. The owner (?) or barman was a bit curt and abrupt, but I didn't mind that so much as the food was really good.... The place looks and feels like a neighborhood corner tavern -- and a few rounds of local brew can turn it into one -- but its specialty is schnitzel. There are half a dozen choices, plus a few other things, and the whole experience is a welcome one in a city that, more and more, is eschewing tradition and embracing... More

Erika's Eck is almost an institution with hosts of famous previous visitors. It is open from 1700 until 1400 the next day. We arrived at 1800 and the place soon became full. The food was cheap, plentiful and excellent quality. Unusually we discovered bottled beers were cheaper than the draught with the cheapest option being the Bügelflaschen of renowned Flensburger... We were lucky to find a table without reservation at 6pm of saturday, so I strongly recommend to book in advance for early dinner. This very particular restaurant is similar to a pub in its interiors but here you can taste a delicious (and huge) snitzel with different topping (eggs, mushrooms, pineapple...). You should really go there!

Very good and authentic food. We tried the "schnitzel" cooked in two different ways and it was delicious. Also, the portions are huge: be sure to be starving, otherwise you'll not be able to finish your plate. Great atmosphere, very cozy place and packed with locals.

Found this place after a short wander from the UBahn station nearby; really wasn't that hard to find. Was quite busy when we arrived at around 8pm but luckily a few tables were leaving so we didn't wait for more than a few minutes to get a table. Very impressed with the service. It looked like it was just a... More

We ordered schnitzel and didn't expect such a huge load of food for just 11€. The ambient was really good and the waitress was pretty nice. It's really great that they open from 5pm till 2pm (yes, you haven't read wrong, just 3 hours of break) Would definitely come back.
