We were hoping for a place with a nice view to the harbour but tgat wasn't it.. the place is nice and cosy though.. We enjoyed all the food we ordered, but I didn't think the price was as good as the comments I've read here. The worst thing was how slow they were.. We had to wait for 1... More

Fresh lobster and seafood. Service can be slow at peak times. In summer, this place can be packed. Solid performance throughout. Not to be recommended for formal or romantic gatherings though. Yum.

This is a fish and chips joint that serves lobster and oysters. the fish is just slapped on a frying pan and then on your plate with some chopped lettuce and dollops of industrial mayo and thousand island. The Sashimi consisted of a few thin slices of salmon and drying tuna, period. the lobster was overcooked. The service practically non-existent... More

Usually once a year to Hamburg, but due to visiting Hummer Pedersen on my last visit, i´m afraid it´s going to be more often in the future. At the moment H.P. is in a warehouse next to the orginal bistro due to renovation. But what a charm, and the seafood is excellent. Me and my wife both loved it. Great... More

I visited this restaurant as a result of reading about it on Trip Advisor. I ordered oysters and the shrimp, smoked salmon and gravlax salad all of which were delicious, very fresh and good value. The restaurant itself is spotlessly clean with an open kitchen. The fish and seafood is on display in chilled cabinet. I was caught out however... More

I was in Hamburg with my friend, and we were looking for the proper fish restaurant to eat in. We looked at several restaurants and couple of them were at the same street. Walking by we noticed a regular port building with big blue doors for cargo and those little funny autocars, moving freight. We stopped there and saw Porsche... More

We ( me and a friend) passed the restaurant on our bicycle tour through Hamburg. It looked nice in the sun. However, it was a big disappointment. First a waiter asked us what we would like to drink, but not in a very friendly manner. He seemed complete;y not interested. We ordered 2 glasses of white wine. A stressed waitress... More

Hummer Pedersen is one of the culinary highlights in Hamburg. I have been buying their produce for 20 years and am always extremely happy with the quality and their rock-bottom prices. They have the best oysters in Hamburg (the last time I bought two dozen they were one day old). They are open only for lunch (until 18:00), you will... More
