Description: The BULLEREI in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel was once a cattle market and is visibly stunning. with stylish but comfortable grey couches, 200 year old oak tables and a blue tiled bar. The restaurant is popular with gourmets, the in-crowd and beer drinkers who wax-lyrical about it. The food tastes amazing and prices are reasonable. The meat is cooked to perfection and the side dishes are delicious. The lunch menu offers wonderful meals for vegetarians. The staff are stylish and fashionable. They are cool, friendly and stand out from the crowd in their grey aprons.

Filetto meat and entrecote were both very good, (my fillet was not "top" indeed), starters nothing special except the meat tartare with capers, great. Good wines and dessert. Quite expensive but I think in line with the prices of the city. Fantastic atmposphere, really international but cozy and great service.

Overpriced, overrated restaurant compared to other steak restaurants in HH. Meat was good, but not the best I have had in the city. I guess this is paying for the location, the chef who is apparently a celebrity in Germany! He's not Jamie Oliver but he walks about and was friendly to us, so we can't complain. Nice atmosphere in... More

The interior of this restaurant falls into the category of 'Industrial chic' I suppose you would call it. The walls consist of rough cast brickwork and original white metro tiles and the overall effect is quite dramatic. Food, is basic fayre but nontheless tasty and well cooked. Well worth a visit.

After reading about this restaurant in an Hamburg travel guide, we headed to this restaurant to find out it was full for the next 2 days. We made a reservation, hoping it was worth it. It wasn't. I guess this is one of those trendy restaurants at the moment in Hamburg, but for the price we paid, there are many... More

...it started off with getting the table which was explicitly asked to NOT have, and this having reserved in person a couple of months ahead. The location is great though good ambiance and amazingly good music even without a dj. We all ordered the filet steak which was of very good quality the side dishes where simple but tasty as... The atmosphere at the Bullerei is really nice. It is in an old warehouse or something like that. We had a four course menu for €49 and I thought the price quality ratio was very good. The first two courses were amazing and so was the dessert, the main course needed a bit more umph. The service was okay. Just... More

Interesting venue near the Hamburg Convention Center, in Meatpacking district. Food good and portions generous but service spotty.

The food was good but everything besides that was just ok..from the service till the waiting time for the food and the atmosphere..the area where it is located is the schanze which is one of the greatest areas for restaurants and bars in Hamburg..but the place itself is located in sort of an isolated area (you have to really search... Loved dinner for 20 of us. Had a little side area all to ourselves but still had all ambience of the main room. Great food, wonderful service. Everyone left with a smile on their face. Will return.

If you want somewhere to eat in Hamburg that's a bit special, then this is the place for you! I went with my partner and a friend while visiting Hamburg and I would really recommend visiting. I had mussels and the others had pasta, we also shared wine. The food was delicious, the service was good and the ambiance good... More
