Description: The BULLEREI in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel was once a cattle market and is visibly stunning. with stylish but comfortable grey couches, 200 year old oak tables and a blue tiled bar. The restaurant is popular with gourmets, the in-crowd and beer drinkers who wax-lyrical about it. The food tastes amazing and prices are reasonable. The meat is cooked to perfection and the side dishes are delicious. The lunch menu offers wonderful meals for vegetarians. The staff are stylish and fashionable. They are cool, friendly and stand out from the crowd in their grey aprons.

There is only one word for this restaurant: Overpriced!! Meat is very good, the rest (for example athmosphere, service, fish) not so good. For that amount of Money there are much better Restaurants in Hamburg

It was lucky to find it through a trip advisor search and resulted as good as published The staff was very friendly. The offered dishes weren´t too many but tasty. Vegetables were slow cooked and fish smelt fresh. Wine was a Viño Verde Rosatto very suitable with the meal. As a result of this I can say that it was... More

Everything on the menu looks too good, so we decided on a 4-course-surprise-menu which turned out surprisingly good. The food quality is really amazing as what we ate was nothing new or unusual but reinvented with superb quality ingredients and styling. We sat under a pair of speakers and when its volume suddenly burst out too loudly and we pointed... More

We came here for Easter (yes a while ago, I know!) with a group of seven family and friends. Half of us were english *only* speakers and the other half speak German as well. The waiter was very helpful, getting us english menus and translating the special of the evening. When it came to pass that all of us wanted... More

Great, quirkily decorated restaurant and brasserie. We went there in a Saturday night without a reservation hoping to get a table in the more casual brasserie. However luck was on our side and we managed to get a table in the main restaurant. It is run by Tim Mälzer, known as the Jamie Oliver of Germany. Their house special steak... More

It seems to have been obvious to everyone else, but somehow we didn't see there was a brasserie and a restaurant, and the apparent entrance leads into the brasserie. The brasserie is fine, we had a kind of steak salad with lots of leaves and tender strips of rare steak. Very nice except for the mint leaves, that really didn't... More

I went there with some of my business guest from Asia. When i go with them, i want to give them experience of different foods, not just 1 plate and if they do not like it they have to eat it anyway. I like the 'Chinese' style to put some items in the middle of the table and one can... More

There are many great restaurants in Hamburg but this one ,located on a narrow side street is sometimes passed over. It is actually in the city center and close to most hotels. The interior is charming and is noted for its steaks. That said, there are all sorts of great choices on the menu and a solid wine list to... More

Bullerei - Love the concept of an all-day deli, serving amazing breakfast options incl eggs benedict and a dinner-only restaurant focusing on exquisite meat and fresh, seasonal and a lot of regional food. The drinks are great too, and the service is refreshingly open and friendly. Loved the Bullerei! ...and their Moscow mules and their wine list, too. It's now... More
