Description: The [m]eatery in Hamburg's new town offers a sophisticated ambiance, combined with hearty food and great service. Only the finest quality and freshest ingredients are served in the [m]eatery. Delicious starters, sensational steaks, unique burgers- and tartar specialities, and a choice of drinks that completes the offer. Argentinian Black Angus, original American beef, and meat seasoned with Husumer willow bark, made with traditional craftsmanship, are all options you could choose to indulge in. A speciality which is really representative of the [m]eatery, is the tartar, which is always served fresh á la minute from the very best and most expensive cuts of meat. The menu also offers monkfish cutlet served with sweetheart cabbage, and Sardinian Gnocchi in Noilly Prat Sauce, New York Cheesecake - deliciously creamy cheesecake covered in white chocolate and suitable for vegetarians. In addition to the menu, the old glass divides in the restaurant offer an additional visual attraction of their own. Within the individual booths, the expensive Husumer cuts of meat are put before the eyes of the guests after three to four weeks of coming to maturity.

The service, food and atmosphere was amazing. We celebrated an occasion here and had a 3 year old whom they were very good with. The meal cost more than our flights out there but it was worth it!

[m]eatery serves really good food and drinks. The atmosphere is nice and quiet with very helpful and friendly staff. I really recommend a visit here for either drinks, food or both.

I'm always pleased to find a dry-aged bone-in ribeye on the menu. This one did not disappoint. The wine menu was a bit shallow, but the beef was good. not the best I've had, but up there for european standards. had a pleasent business dinner there. don't forget to make a reservation.

As the name suggests, Meatery has a strong red meat theme on the menu, but does offer limited chicken, fish and veg dishes. Large steaks are what this place is really about, and they come cooked to perfection. My only criticism of the food, is that in keeping with other German steakhouses, both meat and veg are over seasoned for... More

We were surprised about the choice of steaks at the restaurant. Very nice American and German steaks (Dry Aged). The Argentinian Steaks were good but my favorite were the Dry Aged and American. We had 2 different steaks, 1 T-Bone and a Rib Eye.

We ate here (family of 4) last weekend - had booked in advance. My youngest and I chose the smallest steak, husband and oldest son went for a much larger one. My steak was perfect - in fact I am still thinking about it. It melted on the tongue and turned out to be the better choice - as far... More

We´re pleased we match your taste. It´s sounds like you have had our fillet cut. You´re absolutly right, the fillet is the most tender cut on our menu. The larger cuts like our Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye is a fine-grained steak, rich, juicy and full-flavored with generous marbling throughout. It´s still tender, but not as a fillet. We´re sorry, we made your... More

The best steak I ever had and excellent service were very worth the price tag. Also, this place was godsend to us as it was open Sunday night, when most of the restaurants are closed. I cannot comment on other food but I certainly recommend it for steaks.

Very good meat, kind and good service - but overall the dinner, doesn't match the Price tag of the restaurant. Yes you get some very good meat, but you will end up paying just around 130€ for two people - at which rate, you would expect something other than just good meat. + My Medium stake was bit more RARE...
