The Building is the star of the show at this restaurant in Park Sanssouci in Potsdam. It gets it's name from the many dragons that adorn the multi-tiered roof of this one time house of the large estates grapevine caretaker. There is outdoor, under umbrella, seating as well as indoor. The day was lovely in late August when I visited,... More

We were in the Sans Souci park lunchtime and thought the Drachenhaus would be a great lunch stop. It started drizzling on the way up the hill but we had an umbrella. When we arrived the large outdoor seating area looked rather bedraggled as the staff had only put up two of the four large covers. We had a look... More

May-June is "Spargel"-time in Germany, and the Drachenhaus offers several dishes , among other a delicious "Asparagus-Risotto" that was good value for money. The house is an experience in itself. And an excellent shelter on a rainy day visiting Park Sans Souci. The restaurant/cafe also offer many other interesting dishes, a rather comprehensive wine card and different sorts of coffee.... The Oriental building with a star-studded blue ceiling provides a pleasant ambiance for a meal. There is nothing wrong with the food itself, but the dishes are not very memorable either. In summer, you may try to have a coffee or drink here, or on the outdoor terrace.

Our insitut goes on a research trip each year. This time it was Berlin and we also went to Potsdam to see Sans Souci. We had scheduled a lunch at the Drachenhaus in Potsdam and were highly disappointed. The waiter wasn't present enough in our (open door) separée, which ended in colleagues getting up and to place some beverage orders.... More

Great food. After walking around the Schloss Sans Souci and the Orangerie and through the park you come to this little restaurant in a quiet setting. The waiter was very helpful and the food was excellent. Highly recommended. A must.

The food was fine, fresh and tasty, although not excellent. But what I didn't like was unfriendly waiter, who in the end didn't agree to honour my discont (berlin visit card) because I didn't asked for it before ordering but few minutes later, so obviously my check was still open. And without that discount it is a little pricey I... More

During our recent visit to Germany we visited Potsdam and we were fortunate to have the opportunity to have lunch at Drachenhous. This place fits nicely with touring San Soucci in the morning (get there early) and then stolling thgough the garden before touring the New Palace in the afternoon. Its a little tricky to find if you are moving... More

A perfect spot to eat and rest touring the sanssouci park most tourists would start the gardens from sansoucci - so by the time youre heading toward the Neu Palais - this is a perfect spot to stop ant eat or drink. The 70 odd steps up from the road (Maulbeer road) are well wortn the climb - and the... More

Hidden amongst the beauty of Park Sanssouci is this wonderful restaurant which should not be missed by visitors to the park and palaces. Aside from the chance to dine in a historic building, the food and service here are among the best in greater Berlin. Soups made from radish greens or hibiscus flowers, wonderful fresh salads with house-made dressings, and... More
