Historical place, great atmosphere, especially if you made a booking for one of their little side rooms. Wine good, food not fabulous but decent enough. It helped that there were locals in our company who could describe the various local specialties. We also got really friendly service,

Definitely can´t leave Bremen without having visited this restaurant. Good traditional local food & try the local Ratskeller wine.

This is located just underneath the famous UNESCO Heritage listed Town Hall. Belongs to 15th centuries. I recommend to make a pre-booking if you want to be seated immediately and at a reasonable location of the restaurant. There is also a very big, private room if you come in with more than 20 people at once. Besides, the family kiosks... More

The location was really spectacular but the food was not something to write home about. Bland and boring.

We had a lovely evening meal and returned the following day for an excellent lunch in the historic setting of a UNESCO World Heritage Site building. For the evening meal, we sat at one of the large tables in the main part of the vaulted cellar of the restaurant soaking up the historic atmosphere. For the lunch it was even... More

Was in Bremer,Germany on a business trip. We had early dinner at Ratskeller, a restaurant located in the cellar of a very old building. The staffs seated us in a little cloistered cubicle off the main dining floor. As we awaited our food to arrive, I then focused my camera on my friend sitting in the cubicle (it was quite... More

always a reasonably safe bet to eat at the ratskellers in germany. Menu was shown also in English which makes it so much easier. Service was a little slow but the meal was a pretty good standard. We had the suckling pig a duck. The meals are not huge, just right ...as goldylocks would say, which meant room for a... More

We came to this place on Saturday at approximately 3pm. There were plenty of tables available, although we were seated in God knows where. The choice of beers is not that big, although they have a huge variety of wines. The wine is very good. Beer is like everywhere else. Although the clay glasses, in which the beer is served,... More

The wine cellar is one of the oldest in Germany. Especially the little separate areas for groups are lovely an unique. Make a reservation during the Bremer Oktoberfest, called FREIMARKT!!

The resturant could not be better placed, right in the center of the city. The buffet dinner we had for our group was very nice, but the restaurant is so busy that we had wait for the drinks. the roasted pig was delicious
