Traditional German food, recommended!

If you are looking for traditional German and Bremen food, this is the place. Traditional food is pretty heavy and large portions, definetly worth trying. Nice and quite typical noisy atmosphere in Germany although crowd of Chinese tourists were having the party this time :) I recommend to book... read more

Built in 1405, this is clean and well presented and entirely genuine. The vaulted ceilings are now painted white but would need to have been after centuries of candle smoke. Warned by the locals that it is a tourist trap, it was, in fact a very worthwhile experience. The service was A Class, the food was excellent, from the beef... More

Was ok, nothing to right home about. Would I recommend it? Probably not. They have free beer mugs with purchase of beer. Atmosphere is nice, it's cooler down there however I still wouldn't frequent this place. I would seek out the other rathskellers and go there. Much better food right around this Rathskeller .

The Ratskeller is very popular especially for large tour drops we had to berek 2 nights ahead. Ask for one of the booths at the side of the main room lovely atmosphere. The food is fairly standard German fare but well cooked and as usual in this country in generous proportions. Well worth a visits for the ambience and atmosphere.

Great food and excellent service in a lovely restaurant. Certainly a place i would go back to. Right in the main square under the town hall. Not expensive & great value for money.

Located under the town hall. It has cellars stretching beyond the building. It is very interesting and has lots to take in. The food is good. Service good. Prices are reasonable. You must make a reservation to ensure a table.

Make sure you have a wine in the cellar. It is oozing history. Well worth it. Book a booth in advance.

I have been there several times with family and friends. Nice selection of hanseatic food, obviously awesome wines (for all pockets). The location, the atmosphere and the local curiosity (as the "Priolken" at the side of the main room, which are small kind of cabins for small groups) are a plus. Better to book a table in advance.

Me and my spouse went here for our easter meal. We were not disappointed! Food was excellent and great value for money. The wine list is very comprehensive, and the ambiance is very striking indeed. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Small beers but cool location. I had the lamb skewed and really liked it but my colleague did not. I would go here again it was a nice interior.
