Never in a million years did we think we'd get a table at the number 1 restaurant in Berlin so we must have been really lucky to get one with one day's notice. This really feels like eating in someone's living room. Really cosy and friendly place. We were served by Mrs Heising and Ms Heising I think. Both so... More

Nice elegant, family-run restaurant. Great care taken with the food. Foie gras, sweetbreads, escargot, etc. I know this is Europe but it should take credit cards.

A truley unique restaurant in the heart of Berlin. Decor appears original from the 20's, kind of like eating in your Grandparents dining room that only gets used on special occasions. Family run business, allow some time to get your bill as there is no till or calculator, adding to the unique experience of this restaurant. Credit cards are not... More

He had a business trip to Berlin. Most of the time we have already pre-planned where to go. Our partners do it for us. But we were a day early and stayng near Kudamm. And you Kudamm restaurants- expensive, average quality. Good quality=very expensive. So I saw this. I know beeing nr.1 on Tripadvisor doesnt guarantee that the restaurt will... More

I liked the feeling of experiecing something different. It´s not often you get to dine in a restaurant which looks like it might been there when Berlin was very much alive in the late twenties. The food was very good and the service as well as the greeting and the adieu was awesome.

Heising is situated in an old, beautifully restored building ona quiet street. It is small. Capacity probably not over 40. The owners also run it, serve and make sure their geust are pampered in every way. Delicious food and wine. Our only surprise: They only accept cash!

Walking in to the restaurant, guests are greeted by the owner as though arriving at his home. It feels like sitting in a beautiful dining room in a home, rather than in a restaurant. The menu is set (choose one for 55 euros, with dessert, or 45 euros, without dessert) with several choices available for each course. Incredible preparation, delicious... More

I have never in my live experienced restaurant like the Heising. The warm welcome and the restaurant decoration made me feel more like in a home than restaurant. The menu was very interesting and the food perfect. I recommend you look at the menu and the pictures on the web.

On September 28 we ran the Berlin Marathon - we were looking for somewhere very special to celebrate our achievement and choose Heising. Made reservation weeks in advance and it proved to be an excellent choice. We were staying at the Sofitel and little did we know they were just around the corner. A German couple owns the restaurant and... More

A really "Old fashioned" restaurant with excellent food and superb surroundings. Definitely a place to go if you enjoy the finer things in life.
