I I had to email again only to be told that they had forgotten to reply, but were full, but could fit us in on the following day So we confirmed, but warning bells should... More

Everything about this meal was fantastic. Great service, great food. I was alone and they set up a special table by the fire for me. Well worth visiting.

Friend and I did the 5 course menu and chose different dishes. The service was really good. Wine (Sancerre) was excellent. Food was very traditional French but a bit tired. The best items on the menu were the shrimp (part of the pike mousse dish) and the creme brûlée. Unfortunately everything else was simply edible. We both left feeling full.... More

Very tasty courses of food, served personally by the owners and helpers in a very friendly environment, in a stylish classical atmosphere. Highly recommended. Do not forget to make your reservation days before and remember that only cash is accepted.

Four of us were here in August, and what an amazing experience. A nice, small intimate restaurant, where Mr and Mrs Heising and their daughter look after you extremely well. We started with perfectly chilled champagne whilst browsing the menu, and then a tasty amouche bouche arrived. I hadn't had sweetbreads for years, tried them, and better than I'd ever... More

From start to finish we had a wonderful evening. My new husband is in the trade and so has pretty high standards and he enjoyed every minute. Following the welcoming greeting by the proprietor, we received the menu in english without having to ask. The decor was pleasant, inviting and to a high standard. The menu was well chosen. My... My girlfriend and I dined here on a Sunday night. It was 3/4 full and a good atmosphere. The food was very nice however I do think it is overpriced. I ate in Bieberbau also on our trip and felt the food there was slightly better. It is definitely worth a visit

I can't agree with many of the postings on this site. Yes, the restaurant has an unusual decor for the location and the owners are absolutely delightful people and were kind enough to speak English. We had the three courses for 46 euros and we did notice that most of the sauces had a slight skin on them. The pike... More

Though off the beaten path, this petite restaurant served, quite simply, one the best meals I have eaten in all of my travels. After being greeted by Herr Heising himself, we were ushered into a beautifully decorated room with a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The ornate wood paneling will bring some back to a time when eccentricity ran much more... More
