Called to make a reservation, asked when I want to come simply said 21:30 please, got shouted that this is not acceptable and was a victim to a nervous attack, decided to avoid in any case and tough I was waiting to visit it for a long time

What a wonderful evening. Greeted by Mrs Heising at the door and coats hung in the wardrobe before being escorted into the plush, elegant restaurant. It was like being transported to another time and place. The table was beautifully set including fresh flowers. All the dishes we had were delicious and beautifully presented and accompanied by fine wine. We were... More

Don't go here if you are the sort of person who wants to gobble food, be served a breakneck speed and like your food so spicy most people would find it inedible. This is a restaurant for food lovers, people who enjoy old fashioned courtesy and those who don't judge a restaurant by the number of cracks in the antique... More

We went there on a xmas night to try out one of the best rated french restaurants in the city and we were not disappointed. The owner welcomes you and recommends what kind of food and wine you can get. It is not cheap but the quality of the food is totally worth the price. I will come back!

Had a great evening with my girlfriend in this Berlin original restaurant. You enter and are greeted by the family Heising, mother and daughter serving and French cooks cooking. The atmosphere is elegant but cosy and the food was very good. My girlfriend had a venison that was so perfect, that we are still talking about it. The value for... More

This is an incredibly charming restaurant run by a Mom, Dad, and their daughter. It's two rooms, beautifully decorated and you feel as if you're dining at grandma's house. Mr. Heising greeted us outside the restaurant by name (they know who they are expecting, and we didn't have to ring the bell) and we were seated at a beautiful table... More

We decided to treat ourselves and go to one of the best rated restaurants in Berlin. We were not disappointed. The restaurant has two rooms, elegantly furnished that can seat up to about 50 people. The décor is more traditional elegance. The tables have fresh roses, candlelight and are not close to one another so you don't feel packed in... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
