Tasty gourmet fast food

Great for a quick eat. The burgers are tasty and service is quick. The only thing is that there are no seats, so don't count on having a sit-down meal. It's eat-and-go.

After a long trip around the east side gallery, we had to get something to eat. And I already knew were gonna be trying burgermeister after reading all the good reviews on TripAdvisor. So we did, and absolutely loved it!!! The location is awesome, the service is fast and the burgers are great. The only thing that's not so comfortable... More

We visited this place on our first night in Berlin after a few beers across the road. We were in a big party and just wanted somehwere quick and this place hit the spot. It is clearly popular with locals and tourists alike and you can see why. There is a good choice of burgers, including vegetarian options. This place... More

Picked to eat here based off location and price but the food was high quality and filling. Perfect to pick up on your way to the east gallery or to eat on their outside patio.

This is very nice and cheap fast food in Kreuzberg district. I would appreciate bigger portion of meat, but what I want for 4 eur...I especially like the bun, the fries were also very good. We waited about 20 minutes.

The Burgermeister has great Burgers too, but what is most interesting about it is the crowd. As you wait for your order, you can see the whole world come together and practice every language you know. All this while sitting in the middle of traffic on a sort of island. And its historic! The building was a public toilet long... More

Great kiosk-burgers, perfect choice for a quick snack. As a finn it was an unusual experience to visit a burger kiosk during early hours without a fear of getting punched in the face.

Quality burgers in exceptionally good bread rolls, cool venue playing decent music, grab a beer for the wait as it gets busy!

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
