A very, very good burger stop. Recommended.

Fast and delicious; my 'meisterburger' was very enjoyable. This former public toilet doesn't look anything special and it's order, take a number and wait style of ordering isn't anything fancy - it's just a quick delivery method for some seriously tasty burgers. I arrived to at a fairly... read more

We visited here over the new year period, and of course, due to this expected a high volume of customers and a long wait... An hour and a half at a burger van was NOT what we were prepared for however! We arrived at 7.30. We ordered and patiently waited 25 minutes before asking why it had surpassed 10 numbers... More

You like burgers? Big M or fresh? Big M or tasty? Big M or fair priced? Try Burgermeister, THE Burgerplace in Kreuzberg, right underneath the railroad in a former public toilet. Nice people, great burger choice and a special atmosphere. Take Metro U1 to "Schlesisches Tor" - its right across the street. Price Cheeseburger: €4

Burgers were so delicious and good value for money, very filling. Looked really cool from the outside and service was great. If you want somewhere to sit down and eat inside then this is not for you but to takeaway or hang around by the burger bar and in the local area it's great!

Were referred here by other people. First couldn't find it, but it was actually obviously placed in a public toilet. Best burgers I had eaten in a while.

Our first meal in Berlin and it was outstanding. The setting, service, food was all great. I had the special burger and it was mouthwatering! Was a great start to a ever greater trip. Will be back next time I am in Berlin which will be very soon :)

The burgers are fantastic, but it's the whole package that makes this a must do experience when in krusenberg. From the public toilet turned into kitchen, the location under the railway, the vibe of hungry people happily queuing and then sharing the few tables to wash down the burger with a great beer.

Burgermeister is a great place to go where you can get a good burger (meat quality truly good!) for a fair price. The interior is pretty much minimalistic and it is a self service place. So if you are willing to be served not your place at all. The fries are really great and the burger comes already wrapped in... More

This little kiosk is located in front of Schlesishes tube station and it's a good place to eat an hamburger. Reading from other reviews I had imagined I would have eaten a more spectacular burger, but burger was just a bit over the standard. There are very few types of burgers + french fries, with or without cheese sauce (I... More

This place is just so cool! Wait a little bit is definitely worth it. If you are in Berlin, don't forget to stop there. You'll be amazed.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
