Very reasonably priced and good service. Only slight downside is situation right on a road if you want to sit outside. Otherwise, highly recommended.

The restaurant is an italian-like one, with several menu at a fixed price and a good pizza, probably one of the best in Berlin (they have have a nice wood oven). It's not expensive, close to the Pergamoon museum and the atmpspehere is pretty "unusual". A good choice for a quick lunch or dinner.

This place is a factory in a good meaning of this word. The staff is working like robots, maintaining the tempo in preparing and serving the food, still being able to smile and be friendly - wow, if I were to open a restaurant I would take my staff to Die Zwoelf Apostel for them to see how it's done.... Stopped here for lunch between visits to the Pergamon Museum and the Neues Museum. Very atmospheric with fresco ceilings, heavy dark drapes and candles. Food was good and cheap, especially pizzas which are huge, one is enough or two people. For a meal when visiting museum island, I highly recommend for service, good food and budget.

The best pizza I have ever tasted outside Italy. Also, the Tiramisu was OUTSTANDING. The service was excellent, even though they had a restaurant FULL of approx 300 people (I counted). Very nice decor and good buzzy atmosphere. Excellent value. Other establishments take note - this place knows how to 'restaurant'.

We took our students to the 12 Apostles and were surprised at how much we got for 12 Euros per person. We reserved for a large group and the staff brought out seemingly endless pizzas and pasta, with enough to take some leftovers home. For our group they served this all up family style. Everyonbe got their fill. Even people... More

We enjoyed our evening meal in this restaurant. We were in the wintergarden which has a removable roof. At one point it got a bit hot, so the roof was pulled back for a couple of minutes to cool the place down. The pizzas were huge, all named after a different apostle, and very tasty. Some of us did manage... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
