Great for breakfast

This is my usual breakfast hangout spot in Berlin, they have a really good selection of fruhstuck teller (basically a mountain of meat, cheese abd bread) for both vegetarians (without the meat obviously) and meat eaters. The location is perfect on Orderbergerstraße, the outdoor seating is great... read more

A bit of a scruffy restaurant, with a smoking room in the back, but the food was excellent and the service was swift and friendly. If you can handle a faint whiff of tobacco I would definitely recommend it.

Fresh products, nice cheese, more than enough, good bread... Its a bit crampy, but I guess only in the weekends. If you are near, for sure go eat your breakfast here!

Breakfast was very good, like the pictures on this site for this cafe. The place had a warm, arty, informal feel to it. The area was very nice too with independent shops. We travelled all the way from our hotel near the Kurfürstendamm and it was well worth it. Such a different area. It was used by locals not full... More

My wife and I had the Wiener Schitzel and loved it. The potato salard with gerkins and sliced cucumber in a juice were very nice.

Had a Wiener Schnitzel which was ok but the cucumber and potato salad were disgusting and ruined the plate.

At first I landed on 4 stars because of the service sometimes being a little too sloppy/stressfull.. But hey, youre on holiday and not at a business lunch, so 5 stars it is due to situation of the place and the variety of excellent brunch.. Haven't had it better in Berlin..

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
