Best burger in Berlin (...yet)

Amazing burgers (though the mozzarella and sauce in the Bronx Jon are not so tasty), excellent juicy meat, great prices for great quality. Also a cool assortment of good German beers ! The Bird deserves its title of best burger in Berlin.

I'm not a burger fan, so had the veggie option (mushroom burger), which was absolutely delicious. The rest of the family had the meaty version and enthused about how great they were. As a carb addict - the fries were amazing. Our waitresses were really friendly and helpful, even bringing me a shot glass of rhubarb juice to try before... More

Me and my friends are always searching for amazing burgers wherever we go, and the bird took everything by far!! The music and the place were great, the waitresses were very kind and helped us choose from the great variety of burgers, the prices were reasonable and affordable, and no one gets out hungry. Enjoy!

When I travel it is all about the food, but I never really go for burgers and likewise, as I believe that you can get something similar anywhere in the world. However, I somehow ended up eating at this fabulous place and it was hands down the best burger I've ever had! It was so juicy and flavourfull that I... More

Totally loved it and looking forward to a repeat. The locals in the area have kept this a secret and no wonder why. It is hard to get a table but the wait is worth it. Juicy and delicious burgers. The price is also reasonable and in the mid range. Went there without a reservation but we were able to... More

One of the best hamburgers we got to eat ever. Not that expensive (about 11$ for a burger with fries) and it is worth every penny. Must eat there again.

Before we ate our burgers - which were the best I have ever eaten - my two children and I consumed a plate of 36 chicken wings. They were fine, but lacking fire. Then we discovered they were in fact The Bird's infamous, digestion-defying napalm wings. Uh? Back in Wales, we have a type of chilli called the Welsh Bonnet... More

Comical menus and a staff of dreams. With pitchers of beer and mouth watering burgers you cant go wrong. The charming staff are right to insist on not cooking the burgers above medium. The meat is the juiciest thing I have ever experience. More meat than bread and a massive side of fries. I wish I could go back. 5/5... More

I was invited out for dinner during a business travel: nice place, with a good choice of beers and hamburgers. Not a good place if you are in a romantic mood, due to wide tables, quite noisy. If I come back to Berlin, I'll definitely pay another visit.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
