Very good burgers (but not so special)

We went there without a reservation and left renewing our visit for the next day (do not attempt to go without a reservation). The burgers were fresh and well cooked and the dishes well presented. Nice cold beer and a "pub like" atmosphere. Could not say that the food was outstanding though. There... read more

I was told best burgers in town, and while you never know, damn... these are really good. Service was a bit caothic, but then it was a busy night. The burgers where good, been here twice and would actually repeat. Fries were actually not that good, but you won't be hungry after those burgers anyway.

This is most definitely one for the locals. We arrived at around 7.30 and managed to get a spot on the last shared table, which wasn't a problem to us at all. We had a quick glance over the menu and instantly knew what we wanted. A lovely gentleman served us drinks and food and was extremely pleasant making recommendations... More

This place is incredible. Totally worth the wait until 10pm for a table. Can't even come close to describing the quality of the meat and those skin on crispy fries. Drooling just remembering it. A Berlin must.

Found this gem on the LovinBerlin page ! They recommended as the best burger in Berlin! I'd go further and say it was one of the best I've ever had. The burger was served in an english muffin each side but the meat was like a steak burger. Served rare, medium to well done! The chef recommended medium which turned... More

I don't know why is there so much hype about this place. I've been here many times -because one of friends like it (it is two blocks from his house) and I have never left left the restaurant with a real positive experience. The burgers are a bit oily, the combination of ingredients is ok but nothing special, the meat... More

Quite easily the tastiest burger I've ever had. The atmosphere was also very special and the waiting staff were excellent. A thoroughly top class dining experience. The bill was also extremely reasonable.

My third visit, burgers are delicious, napalm wings are deadly. Excellent beer and what a vibe. Another one of the special places in Berlin.

I hesitated about writing this review as The Bird is a kind of place which should be kept secret and available only to a narrow circle of people who know. However this was SO tasty and fantastic I just feel I should do justice to the place. The place basically serves only burgers and steaks (plus some additions). But what... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
