Took take away - two vegeterian dishes (wan ton) and spring roll as a starter. Very fresh food, and nice service. Cosy place

This place is amazing. Service is quick, friendly, unintrusive. No crappy music-hurrah-and nice ambience. Small tables make a cosy, informal atmosphere. The food is incredible: one of my top 5 meals ever. Surprising, fresh, delicious.

You can eat very well in Berlin practically everywhere... Our choice was the Vietnamese, as the these restaurants in Slovakia, where I come from are quite far from the original concept of freshness, lightness and lot-of-vegetablesness. Si An we picked up from a guide and it was a good choice . The interior was simple, yet cosy with beautiful flower... More

We visited si an this evening, we were excited after reading the positive reviews online. We ordered two starters and two mains, over all- the tastes were bland and fairly disappointing in comparison to other Vietnamese restaurants. The atmosphere and setting is pretty and really attractive. The staff are vaguely friendly, but didn't pay much attention to us unless we... More

The service was a bit rough. We got our appetizer before our beer and two seconds before the main course. The food was tasty and filling but i am not an expert in vietnamese food

The food is fresh, the decor is cosy and classy and the staff is friendly and fast. I recommend their Phó soup and to try one of their lush shakes. Always a pleasure to visit. Prices are very decent for the quality.

It was our first time in a vietnamese place and we love it! From the dishes presentation to the service, everything was great! The place has a very nice atmosphere, good music for a good price! Highly recommended!

I am a big fan of the owners other restaurants in town, District Mot and Chen Che, but sorry to say, Si An is no way near as good as them. The meat was dry in all the dishes I tried, even though the flavour of the dishes in general was quite good. Also, if you pay 8 euros for... More

A cozy little restaurant in a wonderful neighbourhood; Prenzlauer Berg. We had fried chicken appetizsers, and tofu salad - they were both really tasty. Good white wine from Spain as well. It`s a busy place - all week, so we were lucky to get a table. I enjoyed it very much and would go again. Nice prices too.

the food was ok (even though you can find much better vietnamese food in Berlin in my opinion), but the service was terribly rude. We had cocktails (i wouldn't recommend them) and asked for a glass of tap water on the side. We we served a tiny glass which was half empty and when we asked for a refill, we... More

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
