Easy-going pasta and narrow spaces

Daily lunch pasta was great. I had a limonello with whole prawns. The prawns had shells on which made them less than effortless to eat with the provided fork and spoon. Taste and textures were heavenly though, so struggling with the prawns didn't turn me off too much. My girlfriend had a tuna... read more

This is a very good Italian restaurant on the Mitte/Prenzlauer Berg border. Food is of high quality, made from fresh seasonal and interesting ingredients and served on iittala dishes (for those in the know). Despite it not being the cheapest in town, it presents good value for money and Italian food lovers would not regret coming here (dinner booking is... More

We had a big table with family and friends and were all impressed with our meal. Tasty, fresh and well executed Italian. Antipasto to share which disappeared from the well laden plates, followed by excellent quality pasta dishes and great value wines. Great spot for romantics, families and visitors. Highly recommended.

Food was great, as previous reviewers have pointed out. The wait for food was unbearable. 90 minutes. Will not go back. Too many great restaurants in the neighborhood that have their total act together.

We tried to get a table on a Thursday evening but didn’t succeed as the restaurant was short on chairs! It really is quite small space and obviously very popular. As we were lucky enough to get the table the following Saturday evening we now know why – the food is very very good! And the small restaurant has a... More

Simply but beautifully designed Pasta place. Kitchen until 11.30pm. Terrace. Try to reserve a table as quite full most of the time. Good for groups. Personal favourite: Tagliatelle w/t truffles.

Passed by this corner restaurant on our return to our home base on Steinstrasse. It was packed so we thought we should give it a try on the following night. A great decision! Small place, very friendly, menu in English, waiter also spoke English and was very helpful. Limited menu but with daily specials of such quality, who cares! The... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant. It wasn't easy to find but so worth it. I highly suggest you get a reservation as we were there on a Wednesday night and it was packed. This is a fun place with a cool environment. My son ordered the gnocchi and I finally talked him into trading. It was the best I have... More

The food was very frech and tasty and the waiter was very friendly during the whole evening (do not take that for granted in Berlin...). The place only serves Italian starters and pasta (not pizza). make sure to make your reservation early if you want a table.

Love the taste of the pasta; great ingredients and excellent taste! Not too much on the menu; we went for the daily specials, which were a delight! If you don't like pasta; then this is not your place. Wines and the food are very reasonably priced and the restaurant offers great value for money. It is small and crowded so... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
